Awesome! Lived in Abq most of my life, never heard of them. Wonder where they recorded and who produced them. What a rare treasure! Thanks for posting. 👍

John Wagner produced them and they recorded at his studio. I believe with his help, some of the members were able to get gigs as studio musicians for other people's albums.

Where in the world did you dig this up ?? It’s pretty darn good. And I never knew there was another band named Heart. It also never ceases to amaze me just how many obscure but talented bands came out of the ‘ 70s. One has to really dig deep into the archives to discover all of them.

I believe I was looking at the Discogs page of Motown’s Natural Resources sub label, just to see what they all put out. I came across their third and final album on there, which led me down the rabbit hole of their career, seeing that they put out two other albums before that.

The "Corporate Hand of the Chosen Ones" decided not to let it be known ......Damn I grew up in the 70s and am amazed at the magnitude of brilliance that wasn't allowed to shine!!! SHINE ON OG ROCK N ROLLERS!!!!!

I heard that Nancy and Ann filled a cease and desist against the Albuquerque Heart band, but I can’t really confirm it, as it was only mentioned in a comment on an old post about this band from the perspective of someone who knew/photographed them.

@@christianlewis6252 Yes, the 70s certainly had its share of unknown treasures in rock music. It's nice to hear something obscure rather than the radio burnout play from that decade.

May we have more info ? Release year, producer, label, band members, etc. And the radio station you nicked it from.
@joesmusichub11 ай бұрын
All of that info is present on the Discogs page, so I didn’t feel that I needed to post it. Also, I recorded this on an admittedly very shitty turntable that I no longer use. In the future, I’ll see if I can get this to sound better.

Yes more about this band excellent music and talented artists,I love the lyrics the power and simplicity of them, one singer sounds like Don Henley, thanks for this diamond I never heard before .

@patrickmelot3870 Here’s a really cool article I found, which chronicles the rise and fall of this Heart band. Apparently, they stopped making music because, among other things, they received a cease and desist from Nancy and Ann Wilson, which is kinda lousy, as this Heart came first, but whoever makes more money, I guess. nuevoretro.wordpress.com/2016/02/08/story-of-a-broken-heart-not-the-one-you-think/

@@joesmusichubwait, so they stole their name *then* sent them a C&D? How the f does that work?
@joesmusichubКүн бұрын
@ard45387 Yeah, I guess when you have more money, you can do that. Same thing happened with a band called Asia from South Dakota, but with more disastrous results. Long story short, the manager of the UK Asia strung the SD group along with the promise of them getting on a major label or something, as well as saying there was yet ANOTHER band with the same name in Louisiana (I think), which ended up being bogus.
