I wanted to let everyone know that we’re safe but our hearts are with our fellow Angelenos fleeing from danger over this past week. So grateful for our firefighters and first responders whose efforts have been nothing short of heroic during this tragedy. Thank you for that cover. "Heart of Gold" was one of my favorite Neil Young songs. Given Elle's penchant for planetary poetry, have you ever heard of "Rocket Man" by Pearls Before Swine? It is based on a story by Ray Bradbury. The chorus goes, "My mother and I never went out unless the sky was cloudy or the sun was blotted out. Or to escape the pain we only went out when it rained." You have the perfect voices to do the duet for the chorus. It is a rare album, but you can find it on KZbin. I saw them live in the early 70s at Michigan State University. Unforgettable.

Back in the day, soon after the "Harvest" LP was released, me and my buddies all bought guitars... Dreadnaughts, of course, big Yamaha "F" models and a few guys bought D-28's... We quickly learned this song and "Cowgirl in the Sand"... We grew big sideburns like Neil's... We would sit on the front porch and play these songs over and over... And now, many years later, another generation has found the same magic...
