Spot on observation. This song isn't just a jam....it's a true composition that breaks down if every piece isn't performed just right. Every dynamic and bit of silence is important to the whole. Look for covers of this song on KZbin by people who don't get the details right and the song turns into a mess.

#2,396. I know this will be lost in the crowd, but I can't help myself. Such QUALITY PEOPLE! Don't forget the purr-feckt MUSIC, but y'all are SUCCESSFUL HUMAN BEINGS. Don't change. Back in the '70's, I rented a ground-floor duplex office in an old Victorian-era house from the late and honorable James Britton II, who had purchased it from the Musician's Union when they moved to Morena Blvd. The place had a number of grand pianos, one (his favorite) just across the hall. Every afternoon, Jim would come down and play the classics. He was perfectly imperfect. That is, highly skilled. But MORE than that, he was TALENTED! AND, he was a SUCCESSFUL human being--to his own-self TRUE! He made an occasional mistake, but the QUALITY of his playing, the SOUL with which he infused his playing, was MAGIC! Y'all make me FEEL the same way. OH! If only the world could be populated with the likes of y'all! The very best to y'all! Wayne "We have only two choices, really. We can have an 'I beat you down, you beat me down, I beat you down' society [culture is not good enough], or we can have an 'I lift you up, you lift me up, I lift you up' society." --Kenneth Boulding
