Very inspirational! I was in a car wreck 4 years ago where I became a paraplegic. Before then I loved to worship the Lord in dance. In the wreck our 2 daughters were killed. I don't blame God at all. And I know He is using me. But I am still believing to walk again. I'm not giving up that belief. I know He has used our story to reach many people. It has been said that God trusts us with the battles that others couldn't have handled. Love your story! Let's just keep shining for Jesus -- and we will meet each other and Him in the sky one day!

A good friend's daughter, a beautiful girl who took her first steps with me, was the most critically injured surviver of the Brussels airport terrorist attack. She ended up losing both of her legs below the knee. During the more than two months she spent in the hospital, Brittany Hamilton contacted her to encourage and pray with her. Today, that beautiful girl is participating in her second Para-Olympics in Paris. She came in fifth in Tokyo in her dressage event and has used the compensation she received to open an equestrian center to help those with all sorts of difficulties. And the ripples continue . . . It seems that in real life, Bethany didn't grieve at all about the attack. She just made the best of it immediately. But in the movie, the Bethany characters struggled and it makes sense why they would add that in the movie because no one wants to see a movie about someone who got their arm ripped out and was smiling for the rest of the film. There needs to be conflict that the character can surpass.

Just finished reading her book. There were lines in the book about how she had a watch on her arm. The arm that was attacked. It's possible that the reflection off the watches' face was what attracted the shark.
