…….okayyyyy, FIRST OF ALL: hi and sorry for disappearin like that (I never did end up goin to the store to buy milk, I abandoned my boy), sh*t happens and I couldn’t bring myself to finish this animatic multiple times now,,,,,, it has just been sittin there gathering metaphorical dust, while I’m gathering so much guilt myself lol (lmao even) with every time I’ve checked this account in the past two years, cause…. Like there is twelve fkin thousand of yall now that’s wild dude that’s bonkers bruh that’s like a decently sized town kinda numbers we’re talkin bout here,,,,, I am beyond grateful I even got this lucky offa some silly vids I make every now and again y’all are legends for sticking around as long as you did ,,,, I am so incredibly sorry for dragging on for so damn long ….the longer I took between each take of the process the less motivated i was to do it tbh (and the rustier I’d get and more I’d forget too) so I cannot say with confidence that I’ve improved that much from last time since I wasn’t doin art much in general anyway,,,,, so if you see some inconsistencies, no you don’t /j So with that bein said, it is now permanently abandoned and unfinished…. And I am publishing it in this form (with the 3rd (a.k.a. Last) chorus omitted) and with that, I am ending my SIX-matics for the foreseeable future….. The girlies ain’t gon like that, but it is what it iiiissss (i simply cannot bear this burden anymore) SECONDLY: this is strictly in the realm of historical fiction (if I wasn’t clear enough in the first few of my SIX-matics enough ….it includes fantastical elements n sh*t; it’s practically not set in canon of either history, nor are they actresses; they’re more like figures than anything… I’ve explained this better in the pinned comment under the “don’t lose ur head” video i cannot be eloquent twice) THIRDLY,,,,, plot is: ~vibes~ since the song itself is equally vague n mostly introspective, serious as all hell, went kinda dark too (warning for gore: 3:24); the brainstorming and storyboarding went thru many changes (thank you indecisiveness) to end up where this is now (in the words of the other musical I’ve drawn for: “I’ll never be satisfied”) There is no place for fun n quirky n goofy here …and oof I was struggling…. I’d say this is the dullest of my animatics so far, since I’m not used to working with themes like this in my art very often, it definitely forced me out my comfort zone for sure FOURTH: …..no i still haven’t upgraded my video editing software, maybe next time (if there is a next time I’ll try and learn a different program fr) but for now? Lazy, cant be arsed. Yes, exporting and editing this beast was a royal pain in the behind it took a week straight n i went thru the five stages of grief each day Anywayyyyyyy, onto some of the stuff regarding the animatic itself : Setting is the same as the other ones: that damned Hampton court and its various rooms and halls n gardens n sh*t Additional settings are Jane’s mind (palace) and the Vaudeville theatre in London for the stage Instead of just placing the characters in the background, I also made the scenery play a role as well within the animatic Ok, uhhh….y’all might get dizzy cos I went full cocomelon on the camera motion in this one just because I could n also felt like it,,,, so I DO WARN (there might also be some bright or mild flashing lights) (at 0:07, 0:41, parts of the 1st chorus, 1:21, 1:42, 2:16, 2:34 -> 2:42, 3:17, 3:32 -> 3:34, 3:53 -> 3:56, 4:18 -> 4:20) …and cos I found it fun, also went ham on drawing particle and elemental effects The color mixing is bright in the beginning and gets duller n duller as the song goes on to represent, well, you get the idea I might post some of the raw files as illustrations to my socials after this upload cos some can easily stand on their own, context of the song be damned I should note early on that I have omitted some scenes either cos they took too long or didn’t fit thematically and felt repetitive (so yes there is either some half assed or fully rendered scenes that are just chilling in my folder,,, idk what I was thinking and still don’t,,,,, but hey it’s lost media for y’all hehe) While on that note, I took the lull in the second pre-chorus as a cue to make an intermission (it was perfectly quiet so I could extend the animatic however I wanted and bring the music back exactly when I needed it again) Sound wise, this time I just couldn’t be bothered with sound effects (truly can you feel my burnout thru this entire description?) Some more (sub)textually relevant things in the video: You’ll notice right off the bat that Henry’s face is partially (and rarely fully) visible in most shots,,,, that’s intentional (partially cos Jane is of middling stature compared to this behemoth of a guy; and partially because I wanna convey that they don’t necessarily see eye to eye with each other) Plus she practically has no influence over him (hence the untamable line being a lion, with all its connotations) and the “fall” being the one time she spoke up allegedly he threatened her so she kept quiet abt it but that never stopped her for good as you will see… The other “characters” you see are mostly people that are often present in the royal court plus Jane’s family (yes I did read thru various wiki pages) (ofc the palace staff is included) and I also put some thought into the food in some of the ensemble scenes I’ve characterized Jane here as steadfast but starting to doubt both herself and her relationship with Henry the more that time passes (and especially as she’s pregnant), and yet still holding out love n hope for Henry despite it all, we love a steadfast queen! (she is basically like: ya can’t get rid of me b*tch, I ain’t goin no fkin where!) First black n white sequence is her memories (recontextualized with what she knows at her present moment) I have been stealthily weaving the fantastical element throughout the first verse and chorus (by having the subtle presence of musical! Jane in the form of light specks) and it culminates with her and the heart-stone She doesn’t take the stone seriously at first but it shows its effect after she discards and cracks it out of distress (in the second black n white sequence where we look into her mind, which thanks to the stone being cracked leads into her witnessing the other (musical) Jane “trapped” in it) The fantastical elements ramp up even more after that power is unleashed, and Jane (as audience proxy) can only stare in awe or horror during the entire second chorus performance before she begins to even slightly interact with the other (musical) Jane (her mind forever altered from the experience) I had both Janes sacrifice themselves as a form of unconditional love (one more jarring and literal, to extend historical! Jane’s life even for a few more moments, knowing full well she’s going to perish soon anyway) As she awakens in the afterlife not too soon after (being the scar left behind), she is greeted and reunited with familiar figures, who afterwards become the six queens as shown in the previous SIX-matics (who are in a way, intimately connected with their past self, reborn) Aight, that should be enough for now, further questions are always welcome! Its beautiful i love how at 1:25 s you can see a golden / yellow rimg for Catherine and at 1:26 you can see a green line in her neck indetifing being Anne boleyn in the pile of water or big drops, also whe can see taht jane is alway under stress or pressure think taht maybe if she will not hive him a son she get behead like Anne or maybe she just scared knowing taht if she fails she dead r beheaded . I think it's nice knowing you drew it as a remindor taht despite jane being henry favorit she was also under a lot af stress and also half lucky and not lucky bc she gave henry a son but died 2h or 9 days later but despise it she loved him and was scared at the same time ( sorry for my englich, sorry if i start a comment section war )

This was so worth the 2-3 year wait- AMAZING ART AND ANIMATION AND I LOVE THE TAKE ON THE VISUAL ELEMENTS OF THE STORY OF JANE SEYMOUR!
