As a former sex crimes cop who has seen the absolute* worst people can do to each other, raising our son by myself for 14 years after his mother's death, this song reduced me to tears when I heard it on Broadway last year. Hon, our son is going off to college this year. He has your heart. He carries you with him everywhere. He was mine only in trust.

as a highschool teacher, I heard this song for the first time in a theater program, sang by a 15 year old girl. It was powerful from a 15 year old, I have since heard it from like 40 other random people on youtube. The song itself is so powerful, that it doesnt matter who sings it, the singer isnt important, the song itself is.

I see it differently as some times we fall in love with the wonderful soul we actually see in the person and not the damaged person. And we go into the relationship with our eyes wide open because we know the damage in the human but we feel the magnificent love our souls have for one another.

Could the message be another way..that no matter how you push me away, my love is true? Not as in literal abuse, but what happens when someone tries to push someone out of a relationship because of their own fears? This is very common in relationships.

@chloehucek1762 жыл бұрын
dont push too hard, make sure you work on breath control too, don’t take a breath before you start the run so it’s more smooth. if your doing it in chest try to start in your head voice maybe even a mix belt but when you actually have it then you can work your way up to chest. hope that helps

You've got a good heart But I know it changes A restless tide, untamable You came my way, and I knew a storm could come too You'd lift me high, or let me fall But I took your hand, promised I'd withstand Any blaze you blew my way 'Cause something inside, it solidified And I knew I'd always stay You can build me up, you can tear me down You can try but I'm unbreakable You can do your best, but I'll stand the test You'll find that I'm unshakeable When the fire's burnt When the wind has blown When the water's dried, you'll still find stone My heart of stone You say we're perfect A perfect family You hold us close, for the world to see And when I say you're the only one I've ever loved I mean those words truthfully But I know Without my son your love could disappear I know it isn't fair, but I don't care 'Cause my love, will still be here You can build me up, you can tear me down You can try but I'm unbreakable You can do your best, but I'll stand the test You'll find that I'm unshakeable When the fire's burnt The wind has blown The water's dried, you'll still find stone My heart of stone Soon I'll have to go I'll never see him grow But I hope my son will know He'll never be alone 'Cause like a river runs dry And leaves it's scars behind I'll be by your side 'Cause my love Is set in stone Yeahhh (You can build me up, you can tear me down) (You can try but I'm) Unbreakable (You can do your best, but I'll stand the test) (You'll find that I'm unshakeable) The fire's burnt The wind has blown The water's dried, you'll still find stone My heart of stone Can't break me Can't break me Stone Can't break me Can't break me Stone Can't break me You'll still find stone My heart of stone

There's a lot of warm ups you can find on expanding your vocal range and doing falsetto notes and whistle notes. However, constantly doing falsetto notes can damage your vocal chords and lead to a shorter lifespan for your singing voice. Just an fyi because I would hate it if I didn't know that going into it and unknowingly damaging my vocal chords.
