I felt like he didn’t have enough.” ambition.” or his own goals and dreams here I am 20 years later and although I don’t want to be with him and it’s not possible to be with him I still regret that I made that decision that I made. I understand why I made it at the time and I thought at the time but now looking back, that’s such a silly reason to leave a person alone. She has decided she’s too good for him. I would rather have a truck driver that loves me to the end of the earth and admires me then a Doctor Who doesn’t do the same. Of course, life is about choices and she can do whatever she wants but I think a big part of her influence of her family and her idea of what proper goals are will separate them.

The chick is going to regret this down the road when she realises that chasing for more and more will soon become exhausting if she doesn’t define what is “enough”. Not only that, but happiness is worth more than blind ambition. Let's not forget people she is 21 period!!! How many 21 or 24-year-olds you know want to be with their forever person? I admire both of them. They will both survive the breakup and be happy with whoever they choose. 20's are for taking care of you and putting your needs 1st. Wishing both of them the best!

@MiguelDLewis Why use the Bible to manipulate someone to stay with someone who doesn't align with their lifestyle? The Bible also mentions being equally yoked as well.
@MiguelDLewis10 ай бұрын
@@keyairaspivey5093 No one's using the Bible to manipulate anyone. She can pursue ruthless vanity if she wishes but there will be consequences. And "equally yoked" means being married to a believer in Christ. It has nothing to do with wealth or status.

Watching this, you can definitely tell she feels a sense of superiority over him just because of her educational level. However he has more going for himself at this moment than she is! He’s making an honest living and hard working. He should find someone who would appreciate that and not constantly make him feel less than!

They are young. She doesn't really understand what a gift it is to have a mechanic as a husband, or to have a man that is so sweet and loving on you or a man that's willing to change his dreams to keep you. He will go far in life and will meet someone that is his true match. She will move on and find a guy that has a diploma .... but he won't treat her like this man. He is better off. She seriously needs to fix her make-up.... yikes!

I think she just doesn't want this guy. He may be a great catch for many. But if she thinks she can do better. We shouldn't penalize her. She is not putting him down. She just has a plan and knows how she wants to live. Let her choose her own destiny!

Also, for him, he should follow his dreams. They are not married, and he is free to explore all he wants. The problem is that they both want to change the other. They should both go after their careers and see explore. Then come back together in a few years. If they are still interested. But I love that her family is looking out for her.

In what world is having a CDL small?? He could do both, be a Mechanic as a side hustle and a Driver as a main hustle… could even flip cars that’s 3 sources of income. If he chooses 2 and not the 3rd that’s ok. If he choose 1 instead of the 3 that’s ok. He’s young and making a living. Coming from a Medical Student myself… PS: Getting a CDL IS education and they make good money.

There is nothing wrong with either of their Goals. They are in the Honeymoon phase and I Applaud this disconnect to be understood sooner rather than later. He actually will have little to no College Debt. She will if not scholarships based may have $100k or more in Debt. He can make Money Now and she has several more years to go. Their Young just have fun. No kids or marriage need to be discussed at all until she’s 26 or older anyhow-

So I got many problems with this case. Number one this guy is going to make some great money way before she even finishes school and get her entry level money. She first has to find a job. Which may take her longer than it took him. Then she judging him based off the fact that he doesn’t want a degree but this guy is still smart and at 21 he has his CDL. He has a lot of ambition. He doesn’t realize that he dodged a bullet because he would have been stressed out by her and disrespected by her family. Talking about they talk about you to your face….. what kinda mess is that. I hope he finds some one that’s going to truly value him as a person and not based off him not having a piece of paper. She’s in for a rude awakening. Those men with that piece of paper going to give her the blues.

@minae9935 I didn't see the Judge acting high and mighty either. It IS ok to not want to date a truck driver or anyone else you deem less than, as this young lady has insinuated. The Judge insisted, and rightly so, this young man has the right to follow his path. If it doesn't align with hers, then so be it. This man is not lazy, he's gainfully employed, and doing HIS thing. If this young lady wants to pass that up, that's on her. (She will never think he's good enough for her and she needs to move on. Let him find someone who appreciates him and who he is.)

They’re both super young and simply not a good match. They’ll both be fine economically & find someone more compatible. Let’s stop pretending like folks HAVE to settle to find true happiness. Thats scarcity thinking from folks who are afraid to sit alone with themselves for a while. I’ve never met a young individual who was not able to find another partner at these ages after a breakup, nor are most ppl mentally & emotionally prepared for a successful marriage at 21 and 24. lol There’s a lot of projecting in these comments by regretful old ppl.
