I've never connected so personally to music as Nicole's. My entire life I've used my sexuality as a way to get people to love me; as long as I'm cute enough and delicate and pretty and so so very feminine, will someone want me. It hurts so much to know that my only value as a person is how much I can fill the space in someone else's life, and her music is full of the anguish of what it means to make yourself hallow enough so that someone else can fill the space with themselves so you're whole again..

beautiful comment! i appreciate how she does this portrait of romantic horror to expose this so predominant reality, relating its creepiness core through how well it fits the video's concept. once you relate to the message, you get kinda shocked by how thin is the line between her media and relationship's normalities nowadays, when not only we develop this emotional auto-inflicted mutilation, as we put value in how precisely/purely/cleanly we seem to do that to ourselves so we can make this creepy neediness something valuable, instead of the traumatic emotional mutilation's result it actually develops from. it's all about trauma maintenance culture to ensure domination through codependency instead of healthy partnerships cultivation, i think.

a few nights ago i listened to this song alone on my parents couch while old cartoons played. i felt a feminine presence wrap around me; she held me, reassured me. in that moment, i let myself cry. i’ve been holding in these tears for what seems like as long as i can remember, not allowing my true emotions to show. i came to realize that the presence is myself. i can hold my own hand, i can hold myself through the lonely nights. this was the only time in the past two months that i have felt love. seeing the girls in the video share such a precious bond with one another made me feel that all over again, the love for myself and the brief moment of loneliness fading away, just for those few minutes. thank you for creating the only song that will currently let me feel that way, and creating such raw, true, and lovely music in general. forever a fan.

Holy shit It’s amazing You are My literal idle, you have no idea how much I fucking love you! Your music is so calming, relaxing and beautiful, but so unsettling and sad. I also wanted to point out, I really like the color schemes of these music videos. Lemonade was very blue and green and this was very white and gray. I really hope you stick to the main color schemes when making music videos for this album. I feel like Tammy Faye is pink and orange, like a sunset, chapel feels blue and white, and my baby is a black night with only the light of the full moon. Just something I wanted to say! I hope you make a music video for every song in this album, and I think it would be cool to see one for alligator blood, too.
