If I may ask, is there a particular type of cardiomyopathy that causes 3rd heart sound. You list cardiomyopathy. Please help if you can. ❤❤❤❤

🌟. Hey 🙂. so generally speaking - any condition wich causes ventricular failure or increases volume load on the ventricles can produce the sound. With cardiomyopathy - both dilated and hypertrophic can produce the sound. Have a read of this link for more info: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK342/
