Shared a dressing room with Ann and Nancy Wilson back in ‘74 when they were a bar band. Ann was cold as ice and Nancy was so shy and sweet. It was a fantastic week of seeing Heart every night! Ann’s Stairway to Heaven was mesmerizing. And Roger was not only a hot guitarist but super cute! What a privilege that was. ❤️🇨🇦

Roger was definitely a crucial part of the original Heart.

I mourn that loss to this day. I remember getting the Bebe Le Strange album, putting it on, reading the liner notes going "Where the heck is Roger Fisher???". Didn't find out til way later the stupid internal drama that led to his dismissal. We the Heart fans lost. Imagine what they could've done...and we would have been spared that 80s crap, written by other people for them!

Yeah, I was really upset when he left. Never bang bandmates! He really put the edge in their sound, and wrote very original guitar lines that still hold up today. Sing Child Sing! Holy!! Kick it Out, Barracuda... so many great guitar tracks.

Roger is the best, but he fell in love with himself . . . drugs and booze led him to a place that broke Nancy's heart. Terrible loss for Rog, and for Heart fans. Who knows what they could have done if not for . . .

They were a great band. Only for a few years, but great they were.

Almost hard to believe that's Ann. One forgets what a babe she once was. Great band when it had all its original lineup, especially Roger. He was the rock 'n' roll heart of Heart. Once they kicked him out the band went big hair power ballad pop schlock muzak.

Ah man, no solo 😒 Great to see and hear Roger though. Thx for posting these old clips. Huge fan of Nancy!

I had this song on a K-Tel 8-track in the later seventies and they butchered out the solo as well. I had no idea the solo existed until I heard it on vinyl a couple years later and I was stunned. Been a big fan ever since.

Definitely KC introing. Midnight Special kept the songs short (and did they really ever do the full guitar synth solo live? I never got to see them back in the day)

Yes Roger Fisher did solo in live shows...I saw them in '79. Howard Leese took over that duty after they dismissed Roger. Howard is a great musician but Roger Fisher was a HUGE loss to this band.

Did I see Luke Skywalker?
@yossarian67992 жыл бұрын
believe it or not, Luke Skywalker's outfit was based on a popular mid-70s clothing style that borrowed elements from traditional North African garb. Most of the style were kaftan-derived women's wear, but there were some men's styles that were hip-length and loose-fitting with oversized sleeves and head openings, gathered at the waist with a cloth belt.
