He was very loved and pampered and didnt look to be in pain and was eating all the goodies you took for him. You did your best and I’m sure no one begrudges the effort and money to try and fix bear. Have you got a memorial pasture? Like queen Elizabeth had for her pets. A “reflection meadow “could be an option . With a tree and plaque. A lovely place to sit and remember with love and fondness.

Thank you for showing the progress that’s been done at Greenbank, amid all the sorrows and sadness. There are few, if any words, that can alleviate the heartbreak and pain felt by all, as a result of the deeply felt loss from Teddy Bear’s crossing of the Rainbow Bridge. Rest assured time will heal all and someday we’ll all be able to look back and remember and celebrate the time Teddy Bear graced us with his presence, with sheer happiness in our hearts as we recall all his antics and quirks, that were unique to him alone. He shan’t ever be replaced but to know he spent the last part of his life in paradise on the Farm, brings some measure of peace, healing and joy to our hearts … if not now, then in time. All of us know how much he was loved and adored … beyond measure … and how he thoroughly enjoyed all the pampering and loving attention he received, especially during the last several weeks. I have no doubt in the slightest Teddy Bear knew he was loved and that all was being done to attempt to give him a chance at a better quality of life. For whatever reason … only God truly knows … it was not meant to be. I know he now rests in peace and he suffers no more. He put up such a courageously brave fight and held his head high throughout it all. Thank you Tracey for standing by your promise and always keeping Teddy Bear’s best interests first and foremost … and having to make that heart wrenching decision we all know had to be made. It was the humane thing to do, to end his long suffering. I’m sure everyone in the community wants to give you a big hug for the strength, love and compassion you’ve shown Teddy Bear … and well frankly, all the horses at Greenbank. It’s so obvious the horses love the paradise you have created and offer them … they know they are accepted for who they are and what they are able and not able to offer anymore, in the way of equitation. It is going to be a beautiful (not that it already wasn’t but it’ll be even more so) rehabilitative sanctuary … a place where one can look beyond each of the horses’ limitations and once again see them for the glorious creatures that they are! Gives a whole meaning and image to ‘being put out to pasture’. What you do there matters … not just to us … but to each and every one of those Black Beauty Pearls for the (albeit shorter for some) time they have left on this earth … and to grace us with their majestic presence. 🙏🙌✝️💔❤️‍🩹💙🩵❤️💛🤎💜💚💝
