This song will always be special to me. My ex fiancé broke up with me about 3 years ago. I was so heart broken but the Lord gave me this song to worship and praise Him to in the midst of my brokenness. I knew that if I were to succumb to the emotions that I would only become a product of what I was going through and He would find no glory from my life. So in the midst of the emotional turmoil I found myself in, I worshipped and praised Him at the top of my lungs, determined not let my emotions define who I am but only allowing the word of God to determine that for me. How can two walk together unless they agree? And I felt so blessed in the midst of all the hurt because He showed Himself strong on my behalf to be with me through various signs, which He was able to give because I believed His word before I looked externally to find that He was for me and with me. He just confirmed what I believed and reassured me that His word is true even though what I felt was so contrary. “The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:18‬
