Arnt they just stunning, I absolutely love the Subulata, I fell in love with this particular plant when I saw Ziggy growing them on his channel so it’s one I had to have to add to my collection, eeek I had a count up last nite 54 cactus plants now in my collection 😬🤣I only started out with 3 at Christmas 🤣does that mean I’m officially a Cactus addict 🤣oh I forgot there is 2 succulents in the collection as well forgot about those 🤣🤣🌵🌵🌵🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️♥️😝😝😝😝🌵🌵🌵🌵xxxxxxxx

hahahahaha Sarah :-D yes you are officially a Cactus addict hahaha :-D so happy you got back into growing cacti again and now part of the 'Cactus Addicts club' hahaha :-D growing these plants really is so addictive and once you are 'hooked' excuse the pun haha, it really is so incredible, the subulata really is a fantastic one as its got a nice big chunky stem and a nice easy grower, and WOW with 54 plants now, its hard to stop once you get the cactus bug haha, and I always say 'there is always room for one more or a few more' hahaha XXXXX 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵

How did you cut it? It grows wild right down the alleyway from my girlfriend's house. Im not sure how to cut it? I did pick up a piece that was broke off by someone but the base looks a little black and white like it's fungus or something? I was thinking of cutting it back to where it's green, but then do I plant right away or do I have to wait for it to scar over?? Thank you!!

Nice plants!!! I have the "monstrous" variety. I have to watch it closely cause it is a cactus scale magnet so I have. Use neem oil on it all the time to keep it good and prevent these bugs! I love the Austrocylindropuntia. Yours looks really strong and healthy. I have a little cutting that I brought back from the South of France last summer. It was about three inches at the time and has doubled in length over the year. It's also called "Eve's Needle", isn't it? Anyway, it's an interesting plant and if anybody will manage to get this to bloom it's you, Lyn! Cactus Power and lots of love and sunshine from the East Coast! : - )

I had one of these but it died, however 4 of its branches had rooted themselves in so I potted them all up separately, now I have two with branches and two without branches. Also one of the branches broke off one of them so I have tried to repot that and I am waiting to see if it survives! I have other cacti as well, but I only have window sills to keep them on and the heating is on during the winter. I don't really know what i'm doing! 🙃
