It's important to note that Schemes do not upgrade *every* turn, they upgrade at the end of your turn. They do not function like Gruul, even though they have the same wording.

It's still a mech, and requires play on turn 10 for value. It also only costs 4 mana. Just attach Zilliax to it for a 7/7 LS/DS/T/R + deal 10 dmg to a minion.

Why? This card is way more powerful than a magnetic card, pushes control warrior, the best warrior archetype IMO, and the magnetic keyword has proven to be weak thus far.

@@lancejohnson3278 That's fair, magnetic wasn't a successful keyword, but that's exactly why I wanted it to be Magnetic, being able to make another good Magnetic Mech would have been cool if you ask me. And while it'd be hard to fix those problems with one card, I still would have liked to see the "Comeback Card" focus on Mech Synergy, which is what Magnetic was all about. So overall, yes, Omega Devastator is probably a much better card than a new Magnetic Mech that'd try and make Mech Warrior into a relevant deck, but given how hard The Boomsday Project pushed Magnetic Mechs, and how much I would like to see not just Mech Decks, but tribal synergy focused decks become relevant. For me personally, a new Omega Card just isn't the kind of "Comeback" I personally would have liked to see.

It's been two weeks since the start of the announcements for this expansion and we are still talking about the same 4 lackeys and talking about who is in the league of evil. The next card reveal is in 5 days. This is a very underwhelming showcase imo

Yeah the amount of waiting is definitely softening me up pretty good. I feel like they're trying to extend the launch window to help people forget the current state of the game, but the bad side effect is that its ruining rotation hype. Or maybe helping keep us optimistic, hard to say.

If hireek couldnt be buffed it would be one of the worst cards in the game, you have to wait 7 turns for this to what the 4 mana wisp card in druid can do reliably on turn 4. I know multi class comparing doesnt really work but, zoo could never wait 7 turns to use this and control would laugh this card out the game. You are looking at a midrange warlock deck that suddenly gets a bunch of board buffs that are good for midrange but not aggro for some unknown reason.......

hireek has been designed for hand buffs getting 7 1/1s for 8 mana is probably one of the worst cards in the history of the game so basically if you keep the scheme in your hand for 7 turns (which could make you loose the game having a dead card) you get 3 mana hireek which isnt buffable in a meaningful way... the only way they could make it work is with some kind of new death synergy or speeding up schemes

So many people whining about synergy in here... I guarantee they're going to be eating their words after the expansion goes live and they find out all the cards they're bashing are actually really strong and cost-effective. After all, having a spell that summons six 1/1 imps on turn 6 doesn't sound good at first, but then you realize you've got 3 Mana leftover and a board full of demons; something any competent Warlock player can leverage with the right cards.

summoning seven 1/1s for 3 mana is really strong. the only downside to his particular scheme is it has a hard limit whereas the others can scale as high as you need them to. of course, there's plenty you can do with a board in a box

7 1/1s on turn 7 if you got the card early is usually never very useful. By that time most players can use AoE to demolish those imps. Or just simple minions if they have board control. Seems very pointless but speculation until we see all the cards.

So, if Dr. Boom brings an omega card and Lazul a forbidden card, it means Toggwaggle will bring a spellstone, Hagatha a worgen card that swaps stats every turn and Rafaam will bring a card with "if you have no duplicate cards in your deck..." effect.

Was hoping the keyword Twinspell involved a spell being upgraded if you used that spell already in this game. It will help create a deck type involving putting multiple copies of a card in your deck to get the most value, almost like the opposite of Reno Jackson.

Dang, I was really hoping Dr. Boom would get Goblins vs Gnomes callback mechanics. I guess this makes more sense, as it was his titular expansion, but that's still a little disappointing. Hang on a second. Warlock, Warrior, Rouge, Priest, and Shaman are the, quote unquote, "Evil Classes" Meaning that Mage, Hunter, Druid, Paladin are the "Good Classes" Meaning that the these 4 classes are the points for the new expansion themes. We already have Dalaran, the Mage theme, meaning that the remaining classes are gonna be included in them. Now if I know my WoW lore, that means that some themes we can expect are... The Emerald Dream/Cenarion Circle, A Hemet Nessingwary hunt theme including famous Hunters and Beasts alike, and/or an expansion following the Argent Dawn, Army of Light, or some other Paladin organization.

Should make rafaams scheme such that if the player holds and manages to summon 7 the imps become stronger like maybe 3/3 or 5/5. Gives incentive to hold as long as possible and to have interesting trades to ensure an empty board to get maximum value. And makes it so you can still play it earlier albeit a bit less value

Ehi Blizz, I was wondering, now that printing new cards with old mechanics is a good thing, why in the future don’t you print cards empowering old archetypes (reno, jade, c’thun, inspire, etc) instead printing pack fillers? For standard players nothing will change (because those cards would be disenchanted anyway) but for wild players would be more fun.
