With all the Embiggen Druid going around, I surprised myself in being so happy to see Khadgar + Conj + Mountain Giant. Felt really good to see Kibler turn into the big minion deck.

Similar deck to what I play and it is indeed rewarding but the big druid deck is so big that it often fails to overwhelm them.

Ian Canaday this is so true.. and playing embiggen x2 early can sometimes seal your death if your opponent is playing anything but hard control... then if so, its usually priest, and they have ways around 1 huge minion per turn whether it has reborn or not.. not the biggest fan of embiggen yet..

I feel like Elemental synergies haven't been very strong after year of the mammoth. With Mammoth we got cards like Firefly, Kalimos, Frost Lich Jaina, Grumble, Tar Creeper. After mammoth, the most noteworthy elementals are Zephyrs and Siamat. Almost every other are either mediocre or pack-fillers.

Well, Elemental Allies is arguably the strongest elemental synergy card in the game. It's the whole reason to play elemental mage decks.

They've never really been all that strong. Avalanche and Amplifier are doing a lot to pull the deck out of the gutter after the rotation, though. Combined with the tried and true Mana Cyclone and Khadgar/Conj shell, you're able to get things done.

Is Zephrys active most of the time or just a 3/2 Elemental? I can't see how you deplete your deck fast enough.

propably he bases it on elemental allies plus arcane intel and some luck to draw most of the duplicates away before he uses zephrys plus he uses it as an elemental activator for 2 mana and a tempo card if nothing else.

Seems like this deck is running a few too many duplicates for Zephyrs to reliably activate. Maybe it can survive long enough for that to happen with Elemental Allies as a draw engine.

That is the point, I think. Zephrys as a late-game tool than an actual reactionary card. The draw effects it can muster are able to draw through relatively efficiently, so it can get online quicker than others. It's also just a nicely statted 2/3 elemental, so it works well.

Zephyrs is a cheap elemental that is sometimes a lot more late game thanks to the amount of card draw in the deck
