Warlock has a superior hero power that's never been too broken, because warlock has some weak cards, so you draw more, but you draw worse. As the card pool gets bigger though, Warlock is going to become better and better in constructed, because you have more and more choices like Floating Watcher and Voidcaller, so now those draws end up being much higher quality and warlock can use its hero power to gain a huge advantage in quality cards.

Warlocks hero power is OP as fuck. Card draw is the single most important thing in the game, that's why Buzzard, Gagetzan, Flare have got nerfed. But Warlocks still have their OP hero power so the draw needed for Handlock, Zoo or even Murlocs (which they're trying to push onto Shaman by giving them card draw) will always be there.

Gene Starwind It totally makes sense, murlocs fit in the goblins vs gnomes theme so well! Although, I do think paladin got the shorter end of the stick. Atleast shaman has reincarnate and such, which can be pretty crazy with the piloted shredders.

I did that combo. Turn 6 Watcher and Flame Imp. It was pretty good I guess. I'm always a little sad to play Flame Imp any turn besides turn 1, because that probably means I didn't get to play a Flame Imp on turn 1 lol.

My first 12-win arena happened last night with Warlock. I had 3 Floating Watchers, 3 Dread Infernals, a Void Caller, and some great Floating Watcher synergy like Elven Archer and Mad Bomber. It was the easiest 12 wins of my life ;)

Floating Watcher is very good in arena... Yesterday I had 2 of them and 3 voidcallers. And in every match they went out of control like reaching 8/8 or even 10/10 at one point. Reached 11 wins thanks to them :D

I think a way to make Watcher balanced is if the damage from your Warlock hero ability didn't activate Watcher's +2 +2 ability. That way you'd have to center your deck more around him. Even then, he'd still be good.

Unstable Protal and Sneed's are way more op than the watcher. I lost 50% of the matches just because of them. Portal-Jaraxxus with coin on turn 5 or an instant Ragnaros after you finally managed to kill that 5/7.... Compared to this the Watcher is as threatening as a Wisp.

Tyler Neal it's not even broken vs most classes that got a destroy minion spell, he on the other hand as a druid didn't got shit. You can counter this card by every class except druid and he showed exactly that class. This card ain't no OP and that 3/3 mech that heals for 8 is basically 5 mana minion? this is the most underrated card in the game. not because people rate it poorly, since it's unanimously seen as a good card. it's just because it's easily one of the best cards in the entire game (at least when played the way you played it in this video) and most people just think it's "yeah pretty good"

Is it usually better to play Watcher on Turn 5, or Turn 7 with hero power? I feel that in most circumstances, even in Arena, your opponent often has the tools to handle a 4/4 body on the field by Turn 5.

+Dennis Chiu In my opinion, playing it on turn 7 with hero power makes it more of a threat before it's able to attack and increases the chances of it being targeted and destroyed before it's able to be used. Laying down a measly 4/4 minion and waiting for the next turn when it's able to attack and jacking it up to 11/11 with a demonfuse, demonfire and a hero power on that turn is much more effective in my opinion.

Floating watcher is incredible in arena. Arena is slow enough to let it slide if your drop it on turn 5 and tap turn 6. Gets out of hand REALLY fast and can rek anyone really fast.

1:37 I've seen almost nothing but mage in arena, which really really sucked for my drafted anima golem demon stealth deck with 2 anima golems, void caller, a few flame imps, and 2 floating watchers. The deck should've gone at least 7 or 8 wins but due to my imps getting flamestriked 50,000 times along with an extremely unfortunate game against a dumb ass who actually drafted 2 frost nova while I had very firm board control and then happened to have a couple of fireballs and a blizzard to back it up, I only got 2 wins out of it.

Sounds really gimmicky and lame. Besides Tiger and Shade, almost every class can AoE your stealth minions, not just Mage. Don't pick Anima Golem unless you have Nerubian eggs/Ancient Watcher/silence/deathrattle shit (Haunted Creeper/Piloted Shredder), and even then it's an iffy pick. Your 2-3 result is not a surprise to me.

Yeah if you are planning on Stealth to protect the Anima Golem, you'll probably want Shade of Naxxramas or Stranglethorn Tiger or Ravenholdt Assassin the others are too low health. I know you can't pick what you want in Arena, but there are too many Mages with AoE + removal to rely on your board to protect Anima Golem. I literally faced nothing but mages for a good 2-3 hours in Arena last night, it was such a terrible experience.

This shows that hard removal is as important as never before, which makes classes without an efficient one (like Druid, Paladin) even worse.

Well, every Paladin runs Equality + Aldor Peacekeeper, it's not quite hard removal in the latter case, but it does the job. Paladin was mainly weak due to their terrible early game, and to some extent their lack of burst damage. The early game is somewhat stronger now, but I don't think it's enough to make Paladin a strong class.

If you take the one turn potential it is much worse than other cards... You can stack up a van cleef to 8/8 for 4 Mana (Sinister, prep+fan) or less mana but this takes 7 mana to get it to point where is it 6/6 and even then its easily rekt by shut up spells and minions (silence)... I mean on turn 7 You want to play your legendary cards like Dr. Boom and Troggzot

You use it with Void Caller most of the time. It's ok for a turn 7 6/6. Also if they silence this, it's still a 4/4 which isn't too bad. It will be stronger in Constructed though, where there are more silence targets in the Demonlock deck.

Then he goes to arena with warrior gets 4-3, out of the 7 games 5(!) were mages, the ones that defeated him were all mages. One is an anomaly two is a trend, Rule 39!

If you play *Summoning Portal* on turn 4, then play *Floating Watcher* and use *Life Tap,* it pretty much becomes a 5 mana 6/6 with card draw.... O_O Somebody please tell me why *Warlock* needs more demons, it was already a very good and very flexible class.....

ColinsBaldGrandma Warlock has Handlock for giants and heavy taunts, Deathlock for deathrattle minions, Murlock because Warlock's life tap is the only way to flood the board with them fast enough to get their buffs. Zoolock, and after all the GvG cards are released, I'm making a Mechlock deck, since some of the mech minions are really strong late game, and Life Tap is perfect for drawing out the weak mechs early for spare parts. I wish Paladin would get new class-specific cards, it's had almost no changes since beta...

ColinsBaldGrandma Just handlock and zoo.... Name me a class that has close to as strong 2 builds? Exactly there is none. The card is overpowered. These sort of overpowered cards are needed to be added to the classes that really needed some boost and love. Locks simply do not.

Deathlock is zoolock, the old zoolock died with undertaker. I would agree that warlock had a lot of variety as a class, but handlock has around 25 cards that are pre-set, and zoolock is pretty much the same (do you run void terror or not only choice in the build). At least with miracle rogue you can do coldlight + arcane golem, haha or malygod, druid was getting more diverse (lifecoach druid), mid range secret mage and freeze mage (btw thanks for assuming my answer). With the changes they are making to the cards for GvG, is zoolock not the best because soulfire costs 1?, will miracle rogue be the best type not gadgetzan costs 6?, will hunter become more controlling?, other aggro decks viable?, and who knows what the mechs will do. I think things will evolve, and more variety means at the start we will see some crazy cool decks, pirate rogue, murloc shaman, a bunch of mech decks, and yes...the demon lock (to name a few). Eventually it will probably come down to which is better, handlock or demonlock (they are both pretty late gameish, yes demon lock could be considered mid-game depending on the build). Same reason why no one plays deathrattle shaman with reincarnate, it exists but no one play it because it isn't as good as the standard shaman, that can change with new cards too. Why does no one play aggro pala, warrior tempo rogue? (guess...). And I don't want to hear "I play aggro pala" as I'm talking about high rank and tournament play which there may be SOME (like one a week) at legend, but none do well at tournaments. Come back with the comments 1 month from now, if all the other classes lack variety and warlock had THREE builds, then you can say blizz was wrong in their decisions, but it sound all good from GvG from me (I would argue shamans got shafted more than paladins).

ColinsBaldGrandma Deathlock isn't zoo mainly _because_ of Void Terror. Nobody really gives a shit about their minions in a zoo, they're all cannon fodder. Deathlock requires planning when setting up potential Void Terrors, that way you can combo deathrattles and gain a powerful minion without losing tempo. I can easily see someone modifying a Handlock deck to be more taunt heavy and adding 2 Floating Watchers.

Floating Watcher is this good: Play turn 4. Turn 5 play madder bomber all on your face. Turn 6 play 2 mad bombers all on your face. 2 elven archers on your face. Enjoy your minion!
