Had a crazy arena game today, my opponent played two Bittertide hydras on turn 10, I played corrupted seer and a meteor I got off of Primordial glyph previously, boom 12 damage for lethal

I've had pretty good luck with hydra, I think it's a decent card in full face decks (mainly hunter) when you have chosen to completely disregard long-term control in favor of finishing off your opponent

kripp, in the last clip just meteoring the hidra was enough, the damage it deals to its owner isnt limited by its current health (wich makes it even worse).

I went against a pirate warrior who was running bittertide for some reason, I was playing ele shaman and after he dropped the Hydra I flooded the board with cheap elementals. His bittertide gave me lethal on the next turn :)

i must've been extremely lucky on my last arena run then: picked rogue, played almost exclusively priests, paladins and 1 mage, got carried to 12 wins by double hydra/double crusher

Two hydras played a significant part carrying my priest deck to 7 victories in arena. With plenty of taunts to protect them and even Faceless to clone the 8/8 for 16+ damage, most of the time, the results were good. Sure, it's not a good card by itself, but in a grindy deck type it can be the mid/late game threat that wraps up the game fast.
