I’ve been seeing more people make the hunter quest work. Still not common but if you get it done by turn 5 or 6 you pretty much just win the game since the +2 attack sticks.

Revenge of the wild (summon your beasts that died this turn) is insanely good in that deck in my experience, I feel like I might be able to contain their board and then they Revenge of the wild and get all their lynxes and hounds back and I'm screwed :D Or they just hyena with unleash and revenge and you are dead

Yeah, it's not exciting anymore because you know that in 99% of the matches he is going to win. Since i don't watch his stream i wonder if there really isn't any cool losses that the editor could post, i find it very unlikely for that to be the case

Quest Hunter plays Belligerent Gnome, Sunfury Protector and Bone Wraith because it needs to not die before T6 and trigger Snake Trap. I seriously doubt anyone would be willing to try to make that deck work as singleton.

Not really Quest Hunter has an advantage here I would say. Unless you manage to play early plot twist(s), he just chips you down - he can have 10 damage at the board turn 4 and ignore your mountain giant and later on he is able to throw huge rush/charge damage at you. There are only 3 mass removals in this deck - Hellfire, Godfrey & twisting nether. If he manages to start rolling with damage before you (i.e. his quest is completed sooner or he has some decent minions), you have big trouble catching up, as he can establish board control. There are half of the cards unplayable until 5th turn and he can do quite damage by turn 5 and ignore your mountain giant (14 cards > 5cost +quest and if you dont have coin, mountain giants as well), which you can play turn 4 or before.

I agree with Talk3rs, quest hunter is quite favorable in slow matchups without huge press from opponent's side. The real trouble for him are aggressive zoo/combo-priests.

@@gloshow4890 its really not. Tier 3 on its best day. Its an inconsistent clown fiesta. It would be mid tier 2 if it had access to Defile or other early game board wipe. Shriek is terrible. Unfortunately, it just gets run over by aggro, and other late game decks are more proactive/consistent. Still, fun as hell.

Matthew Gillespie yeah thats true ive noticed it really depends on how the opponent is playing. You either get run over by aggro or you run out of recorces against control decks and go into fatigue a lot faster. Its like you either utterly destroy the opponent or the game ends in 4 turns

It can work. The mid-game swings are really strong. But then you just have a tiny window to win before you burn out your resources. It's mainly against faster aggro or high value control decks it just can't do enough.

You might not see the point, but it is in hunter's post-quest hero power. You cannot afford to play 2 Emerisses in a row against that thing against hunter's sticky board and with only few taunts.

I think hunter quest can be good but I've never seen people use a version like my own that commits to completing the quest by 7. Fully commit to dude spam, even have Nine Lives so I can get more crap out there. I think people are really sleeping on it.
