Well, it does lose some pretty big stuff after rotation. The plague, the quest, some card draw and other control cards. I'd say there's a non-zero chance that the deck won't survive without them.

With the core set change it's also losing Sense Demons which will really hurt the consistency even in the slower matchups where it's supposed to shine, no tutoring or plot twists means you're just gambling on actually drawing your one in thirty legendary that will make the deck actually function so it just becomes another inconsistent meme highroll strategy. Probably not unplayable but it's hard to imagine it won't become substantially worse. The expansion cards for the next year are obviously a huge unknown factor though.
