During the second game, the Insatiable Devourer was created by Psychic Conjurer, which pulls from the deck, NOT HAND. With this information (and their plays), their hand never had an Insatiable Devourer. This was Kibler either misremembering Psychic Conjurer's effect, or assuming it entered hand from Identity Theft (as one was shown during the discover, but it was in deck).

Why does the shadow priest hero power work so much more smoothly with Reckless Apprentice than most others?

(I'm assuming, i really have no idea what goes on at their end) the animation duration is different compared to other hero powers. more of an oversight on blizzard's end since reckless apprentice came out much later.

As others have said, it's to do with animations. Most Mage hero power animations have a long charge up time, some though like Celeste and chef Reno have very short or no wind-up animation for their hero power and it just flies out like it does with Mind Spike.

I think it's great how Kibler gets to legend at like rank 200 and then spends the rest of the season climbing high into the thousands. The dedication is amazing.

3:00 Ice Trap was already ruled out because his Multicaster only drew one (from his Fire spell, Explosive Runes). That meant his Hunter secret couldn't be Ice Trap.

I loved this deck back in United in Stormwind, it got me to legend for the first time (admittedly the pre-nerf Illucia was a large help in that deck) and I'm sad it dropped off so quickly. It absolutely destroyed Quest Warlock at the time too which was really satisfying. Thanks for the upload!

Ya know, as an anticaptalist, the correct cause for the problems with capitalism is a streamer who runs ads to feed themselves.

Of course nobody likes ads.. but unless people are crowdfunding something like with Patreon etc small creators need to keep their lights on. Also lmao at the “says the person who isn’t subscribed” - literally that is a way to directly support him and not get ads
@arnerademacker
@arnerademacker Жыл бұрын
Small creators don't get the benefit of ads, as they don't have the views to support ads making them enough money (which is why smaller creators rely on pages like patreon). Ads mainly benefit large creators or companies. Funny how that works.

As somebody with degrees in both political science and economics, the most enjoyable part of this video is the sidebar between Kibler and the 'evils of capitalism' chatter.
@sergnio
@sergnio Жыл бұрын
The clueless guy at 5:30 was fantastic. "I wish I didn't have to watch ads, there's better ways to support streamers!!" says the guy who's not subscribed. Some people really love to blame "capitalism" and just expect others to give everything to them for free... Regardless, fantastic shadow priest video!! The Mordresh steal always feels nice.

Capitalism does suck, but that chatter was making a major ass of themselves. Brian's response wasn't great but it didn't need to be there.

@@IMatchoNation Some capitalism, in its current form, sucks. This world of ultra-corporations and incessant profit demands and CEO pay at 500 times what it was just a couple of decades ago, is just awful. But, for every crappy big company out there, there are thousands more small businesses out there, trying to deliver products and services to customers in an innovative and profitable way. I don't think we should lump it all in under "capitalism sucks"
@sergnio
@sergnio Жыл бұрын
@@chriskhall 💯 well said. Saying "Capitalism sucks" is like saying "white people suck" because we have psychos with guns killing innocent people. it's not "capitalism's" fault that our congress members are being paid off by corporations to pass laws that benefit them... That's not what capitalism is, but that's our current version of capitalism in the United States.. which does suck

@@IMatchoNation yeah i kinda questioned his "if you moraly oppose adds you shouldn't watch content supported by adds" because there is other reasonable ways to support the creators without being in favour of adds.... however saying that with out being subscribed is just thoughtless.
@erra1645
@erra1645 Жыл бұрын
@@IMatchoNation His response was completely to highlight the point - "Are you - dear Twitch viewer, going to make a video streaming platform as big as KZbin or Twitch - and not make any money off it from advertising? If not, then why do you get to criticize them for allowing you to watch free content made possible by advertisers?" I was actually gonna comment how it's funny that the average person hates ads - and yet, after a Commie spews their diatribe, the average person completely changes their mind and is like "Actually, I guess there *IS* something good about ads after all"

5:35 I think coining out the other 1 drop here was a big mistake. It means the Druid can hero power twice to kill the 1/2 Trogg, and Shadow Ascendant isn't guaranteed to buff it, which is what we see ended up happening. We all know how good Trogg is versus Druid, so letting it die for free isn't great! I don't really understand the appeal of coining out an extra 1/1 at all, compared to buffing the Trogg.
@kluasvt828
@kluasvt828 Жыл бұрын
Cause not coining it out would mean that if the Druid killed trogg he would have been left with no minion to buff. It was a risk/reward choice. In hindsight, knowing Druid couldn’t kill trogg, it was the wrong play

Counterpointh: the druid spent the next two turns punching the Trogg instead of ramping, which slowed him down considerably. Also the re was a chance the buff would go on the Trogg as well. Hindsight is always easier to play.
