There is a version of this with Death Speaker Blackthorn. With Vandar discounting everything, Blackthorn will summon 3 huge deathrattle minions because they've been discounted.

@@Silverflower351 Sorry, I don't. I just played against it. It's very similar to what his deck list shows. Just with Blackthorn and big deathrattle minions like the 8/8 Moarg. Maybe experiment around with Tusk Piercer weapon too (save the second hit for after the Vandar discount).

Does anyone know if he considered or tried "Dispose of Evidence" at some point? Seems a fit as it helps against aggro decks and the downside can be used as an upside (put early drawn big minions back in the deck to be Vanndar'ed.)

He streams these for hours, likely making adjustments every few games to the decklist. I assume the one that gets shown in the intro is usually the final version after those sessions, but obviously there is almost never going to be a "definitive list" for anything but the most parasitic archetypes so either way it's more of a strong suggestion for one way to build the deck.

They said gold is sticking around for packs and possibly a few other things, which will probably remain the case for years since ditching gold would mean redesigning the quest structure yet again (I guess technically they'd just have to rework the reward tracks, but since that would entail having a non-gold infinite reward at the end it's functionally too much work to be reasonable right now). The new currency is just replacing the things you can already only buy with money, so it's not a change for the F2P model at all. It is a fucking massive red flag that they're going to try to shift into predatory deceptive bullshit like with Diablo Immortal though, so it's definitely not an exciting change and should be taken as another sign that the game will unfortunately not be getting better from here. It's just bad for reasons completely unrelated to what you seem to be worried about.

Kibler's allowed to disagree with the common consensus, he has the right to do so and I can respect that without judging the man. That said, Blizzard are definitely in the wrong for making BG critically less *fun* for new players by restricting accessibility through the P2W changes (and granting a noticeable advantage to people who pay for 4 heroes). Imagine people being forced to load in a bad hero without any choice for not giving Blizzard gambling money - sorry, "runestones" - and how often 1st turn concedes are gonna happen. Could even kill the game if it becomes frequent enough of an issue.
