They were only 5 jade cars: 2:38 jade claw 3:03 jade spirit 3:07 jade chieftain 3:34 jade lightning or jade chieftain 3:44 jade lightning Considering you usually draw half of your deck, you would have usually played 2 or 3 jade cards per game, so it would not have been that awesome.

Uhm guys. The draft part didn't make any sense. I don't want to hurt daddy but when he first said "wow so many jades" it was actually at the 3rd possible jade pick. at the 4th possible jade pick he said that there were already about 7 possible jade picks. and the total number of possible jade picks was 5 which is not very much i think :/

Naturally, Kripp completely dominated the board, then unnecessarily overextended with a Stranglethorn and got rekt. His defense: "You never play around epic cards. If I didn't play the Stranglethorn there, I would've lost." Both points are bullshit.

Well... not playing around epic cards is no bullshit. Since they have a very low chance to occure and if you play around every possible card you're putting yourself in situation where you have a (most likely unnecessary) disadvantage.

This is exactly why MTG has you draft twice as many cards as youre actually going to use. This allows you to play something other than the "all curve all the time" that Hearthstone arena currently is. The way Hearthstone arena is set up, it will never be anything but all curve plays all the time because you're exactly right, drafting for synergy is insane when you must use every single card you draft.

The problem with arena is the size of the card pool. When you draft in other collectible games you usually draft from one set so synergy is possible.

This is one of the reasons I don't play Arena and why it's such a weak mode in comparison to say Drafting in MTG. You can never have any real fun decks with synergies or a theme. If they could tweak arena I think it could be such an exciting mode.

The draft could be far better if it would change the chances on certain cards while picking some specific cards, like if you have 3 damaging spells, spell dmg minions will show more often, same for jades, secrets, whirlwind effects with enrages etc.

My last two arenas I drafted 0 Gadgetzan cards. One game I played was against a druid who had 5 jade idols! Also going form his dragonfire potion video the other day after watching it I played against a priest who had 2! Kripp's arena is vastly different from mine.

I feel like 20:37 was a missplay, he was wary that she could be about to double fireball, he could've played around it by not hitting anything or hitting face with his weapon and killing the pyro with the 4/1. She'd then be one damage off lethal, if she went face and pinged she would've been dead, if she traded it would mean he would have another turn.

I had a shaman run with 7 jade cards : claws, 3 spirits, 2 lighting and chieftain. The deck was excellent WHEN it worked, but most of the time it under-performed. Went 6-3, mostly because I failed to tempo out early. Poor Jade mechanic.

I actually did 12-1 with shaman, by picking 2 jade claws, 3 lightings and a jade spirit, for a total of 6 jade related cards.

The only time I got 12 wins in one run was with a Shaman deck that had 3 Jade Lightning's, 3 Jade Chieftains and 1 Jade Spirit. Plus that card that discovers a Druid/Rogue/Shaman card which gave me Aya or other class Jade cards most of the time too.

The draft system in HS is terrible. You should get a 90 card pool from the start and make a 30 cards deck with that instead of a single choice between 3, times 30

In the case of the 30 card pool yes... but the way I said is more like arena 'cause you can't pick more then one card from the same group of 3, so a simple way to do it is just show all groups at once and THEN draft as usual =D

The only good Jade pick would have been Jade Claws, which is a great card even when it summons a 1/1. Though I would agree Maelstorm Portal is still better. But correct if I'm wrong I don't there were actually 7 Jade cards offered? I only counted 5.

In the last game he was correct not to play around flamestrike or double fireball yet against the warrior he chose not to play around brawl when it was actually reasonable to play around given how strong his board was at that point.

Okay I generally agree with kripps opinion about the playing around board clears and stuff but i think playing agressively at the end was really bad, i mean it was super obvious the guy had 2 fireballs by the way he played the last turn, and Kripp chose to certainly lose at the moment instead of maybe/probably losing in next few turns
