Longer games increase the amount of choices a player has to make, which in turn means that a player who is 10% more skilled than his opponent has something like a 30% higher chance to beat his/her opponent instead of a 10% chance because the game takes a larger sample of their skill before deciding the outcome. A lot of the fun of hearthstone comes from winning though, and delaying that win for very long periods would cause a lot of players to get bored. That's probably why the fatigue mechanic and aggro decks are allowed in hearthstone. This is probably why many card games, like magic the gathering, in general have mechanics similar to fatigue and also aggro decks in them. Overall it's probably best that long games stay a once in a while thing instead of being the norm for game length.

borredDead Basically all speeds from aggro to midrange to control are meant to be viable just for variety. The pacing in MtG is slower because the defender chooses how to block as opposed to the attacker choosing how to attack. But aggro is incredibly strong in MtG anyway because the tools exist for it. It's far better than aggro in Hearthstone at the moment. Hence the famous phrase RDW: "Red Deck Wins". In MtG you don't fatigue, you simply lose if you have to draw but your library is empty.

Actually, because the only way to do it is attack first, rag popping block would leave him at 8. Following Yogg, with bash, would leave him at 11. If the druid emptied his swipe/2xLiving Roots/Hero Power, that leaves trump at 2. Reno still would have saved Trump. Although, at the end of the day, there's no way to know Yogg would both give trump the 3 armor needed to live and the luck at killing rag, but the math still stands. He didn't want to pop trump at 8 knowing he had such a good board and a way to leave him at 1, while a dream or ysera's awakens would counter doomsayer or another ice block, or a laughing sister that CAN'T be dealt with except through minion combat. Not saying the druid made the right play through not popping block, but he wouldn't have won, per se.

I'm pretty new to Hearthstone so forgive my ignorance, but how did the Reno Jackson card's effect activate when your decklist says you have 2 Doomsayer? Am i just reading Reno's effect wrong? Or does his effect only look at cards still in the deck and not including your hand and discards?

With doomsayers you just have to draw one and Reno would activate. What matters is that rest of the deck contains one copy of each card.

You are correct. It was astral or heavy ramp. That deck saw lots of legend play a while back, and you could find videos without too much effort if you wanted.

trump.. i "know" you since you where the first time on esgn i guess.. .. so on season 01 episode 01.. over 2 years and 9 months ago.. yeah had to look that up.. but at that time you where the guy that said chillwind yeti is great and all taunts are bad cards.. very control oriented.. very value oriented.. so value oriented that you missed the whole tempo theme for some time.. then the time came where you learned about the value of taunts.. and she taugt you how to play the tempo game.. the all mighty queen of tempo.. Hafu... and you started to further rise and shine... you even got grim patron lessons.. but the last few months i have to wonder about some of your play's.. reminds me a bit of artosis... .. why is this.. lack of concentration.. to much overthinking stuff.. i am not saying that you played all over just bad.. im saying that the temporary picture shows someone that is not at the peak of highly skilled gameplay.. yeah i know it got much harder to evaluate chances since cards like yogg are around.. but where you calculating the chances of rag hitting doomsayer.. you could have prevented the first time rag hit on your doomsayer to 100%.. you choose 50%.. and the second time you had the decision between a 100%, 75% and 66% getting a board clear (on board)... you choose 66% including a slight missplay ...just soo much gambling just because you where feared to overextend the card output.. i am not telling you that this was absolutely not reasonable.. but a bit of unnecessary risk while you are not in a loosing position so pleas.. make holiday's for a week.. or take lessons of another deck... just something that gets you more concentrated.. yeh i know streaming.. long time.. talking stuff.. just low ladder... and you did missplay in the last 2 years like everybody does some times.. that's nothing bad.,. just normal i guess.. but the last few months you seemed a bit tired to me.. well maybe i am compleatly wrong.. just wanted to talk about whats on my mind
