I'm kind of a Hearthstone nub, but one thing I have noticed is that the timer is a little dumb. You can be constantly making plays, and the counter still counts down (search for "biggest VanCleef ever" and you'll see how the timer punishes you when you don't deserve it). It should be that with each card you play, attack you declare, and move you make, you gain some time back on the counter. If you're AFK or not doing anything, you lose time. If you're making plays, you don't get punished by the timer and the long animations. You should be playing against the opponent, not the system.

DarkAlex4545 Can you explain why? That's the system on other card games, and it seems to work fine. I really can't see a problem with it. I don't mean you reset the timer every time you play a card. Maybe like add 10 or 15 seconds back to it. It lets you make the plays you want to make without having to worry about losing to the timer.

***** Well, the timer goes down faster thing if doing nothing is not a good idea, because people could be just thinking, like you see a lot in tournaments, and the add more time when putting down cards thing would make it longer than it should be I think the timer should be stopped when its doing animations and such, like the knife juggler throwing 20914102 knifes, but I don't think this remove time and add time mechanic will be good.

DarkAlex4545 I think either you misunderstood me, or I didn't word that particular sentence very well. I didn't mean that the timer would go down at an increased rate if you're not making plays, it would just tick down normally.

Ivo Koev Flamestrike is almost always a one-sided board clear for 7 mana. Brawl is almost a full board clear for 5. Twisting Nether between them at 6 sounds perfectly fair to me.

Ivo Koev Equality+Wild Pyro does the same for 4 mana. While it does require 2 cards it is still a lot cheaper than a potential 7 mana twisting nether.

some days ago i got an arena deck with 4 void callers in it, and 4 other demons of which 2 were dread infernals. it was really fun. then in one game of the arena, i had all 4 void callers in my hand at the same time :D i played one, and everytime it died, there was just another one which took its place^^ the second one i even randomly traded into my opponents 4/4 minion, just because it would be "resummoned" anyway :D it felt like it had "deathrattle: resummon this minion" :D and when the 4th one in a row appeared, my opponent was just like: hmm, well played :D

Soulfire discards a card from your hand, so he'd have lost the Doomguard.

I believe it wouldn't activate if the opponent's board was full, but I'm not entirely sure.

I believe it activates but doesn't summon a minion, thus your minion doesn't have a target so it just goes back to the board and its turn is used.

When the Pitlord is played, the hero takes 5 damage. If it gets summoned by the Voidcaller, the effect doesn't take place. So you get a "free" 5/6 Pitlord.

It may looks like a good card, but it just destroy all the creatures. No more for 8 mana and probobly you can't put anything on the bord for 2 mana. And then your oponent just play his minions and have a full control on the bord.

Imagine you took flamestrike, increased it's mana cost by 1 and then made it also kill all of your own stuff, leaving you with nothing to put on the board while your enemy has one turn of full mana to fill the board with. Like most warlock spells, it's strictly worse in every way compared to the mage card it's based off.

Orillion123456 But flamestrike is usually played when the mage has lost board control. Twisting Nether is a solid card if you're behind and losing, it can turn a game around that otherwise would be a certain loss.
