To clarify you always want to take damage to your health instead of your armor. Not only can armor be used for shield slam, but being below 30 hp allows you to draw with battle rage as well as lowering the impact of Alexstrasza

2 "viable" priest decks which are in the meta are 1. Control Priest. 2. Dragon Priest. Both of these decks are very slow paced but can overwhelm with value if they get through the early game.

if youre playing wild, sludge belcher is the super poormans version that i use. nowhere near as good, but itll hold the line. for standard, kodorider is vaguely similar aswell, but they dont have taunt unless you combo with argus/sunfury (which is difficult with the inspire and high mana cost)

The only major card they lost was Death's Bite, and they got very strong and multifaceted class cards (Blood to Ichor, Ravaging Ghoul, Bloodhoof Brave, Ancient Shieldbearer, N'Zoth's First Mate and Bloodsail Cultist.) People rightfully thought that Priest and Paladin were the dead classes.

C'thun is by and far way stronger than Dragon. The synergies are way easier to activate, and all in all the deck is much more consistent as its big F*U comes in the form of battlecries (+10 armour, an extra taunt dude, C'thun) whereas dragons usually take a turn to activate.

Do you play Doomcaller before C'thun in a matchup that is going into fatigue? how about if you know they have answers? I've always thought no, so I swapped Doomcaller with Rafaam.

Well the advantage of Doomcaller is that it adds a card back into your deck which slows down the fatigue counter.

You play doomcaller before C'thun against an aggressive deck. Serves as board clear as you need to slow down the game. Against other control decks (IE going into fatigue) then you want to save it as you know the game will last long enough to play it after C'thun already died.

Playing a big card against an agro deck is the quick way to losing a game. They're not going to clear it, they're going to go face. Rafaam actually draws you a potential board clear (or board, or lethal push). Against other control decks it seems to be better too. You can get a 10 damage C'thun effect next turn and again you usually threaten lethal. I think you're looking for value and safety from removal in a late game card like Doomcaller, and all Doomcaller is providing is a late game chance to generate a card which does that. And that chance is really low. If you draw it before turn 20+ its a wasted card in your hand. If you draw it later then you better hope your C'thun wasn't Hexed, Entombed, Polymorphed, stolen, milled etc.

You wouldn't play Rafaam either. You need to play removal, board clears, heals, or as many minions as possible to defend against agro. Basically any other card in your hand - so it's a terrible idea to justify playing Doomcaller because of this scenario. But if you had to, playing Rafaam over Doomcaller and then spending 10 mana next turn would leave you better off.

What's the best way to win against control decks? I have a lot of trouble as a mage, against priest and warrior in particular. It almost always ends up with an empty board and all i have is 20 dmg of burst in my hand, while the warrior has like 20 health and 30 armour, thanks to skilled shieldbearer, and the priest has full health and plays "his" (thoughtstealed/entombed) minions one at a time, and games like this last 20mins and is extremely annoying. :(

Because the golden monkey is plan b. You might just magically curve into 5 and 6, and the reason buffing C'thun is important is because at turn 7, playing the 6-6 gain 10 armor, in many matchups is important.

How come this is called Control Warrior and not C'Thun Warrior? You could easily make a different Control Warrior by taking out all the C'Thun cards for Grommash, Baron Geddeon, Harrison Jones, Ysera, etc. but then it would be pretty different from this deck.

He explains that in the beginning though? You could also add N'Zoth, Sylvanas, Cairne, and maybe Harvest Golem and call it N'Zoth Warrior. The point is, they're all just different Control Warrior Decks that play roughly the same. The intricate differences are too specific to be covered in these videos anyway.

Both are so important to C'Thun warrior that its not worth running without them. I would rank Justicar slightly above Twins just because she can be used in any kind of control warrior where the twins obviously require the C'Thun synergy. However it is also worth noting if you are considering crafting either of these, that Justicar will be leaving standard format before Twins

Elise is good in most control decks because it provides another end game and win condition. For example, in this deck if your C'thun ends up not killing your opponent, Elise basically lets you turn any left over non-essential cards (like beckoner of evil) into legendaries
