Hey man, I’m new into this business as well, just wanted to let you know there’s capillary film. It replaces emulsion. Huge leg up. Exact same thickness every time. Also if you wet your image after exposure and let it soak for 2 minutes then wash it out you can avoid any blow outs

Hey! I was washing out my burned image and it was coming nice but pieces of the emulsion actually came off with it. The pressure washer was pretty strong so maybe that did it. Can someone help me!!! I coat my screen/let it dry.. put my design under a work lamp then when I go to wash it out.. the emulsion comes right off!! I let my coat dry for hours just to make sure its dry when I know it only needs around 40 minutes.. I print my design and put it on the back of the screen flipped for 30 minutes under the work lamp which I bought at lowes recently and when I go to wash it(I wash with care and low pressure) the emulsion starts coming off and no design is shown.. I use speedball screens that you get at Michael's and other craft stores with the speedball emulsion.. I also put a black background underneath so the design gets exposed... what am I doing wrong???? someone help please.. I've watched plenty of videos on this and I cant seem to figure it out

So you need a different screen for every graphic "stencil"? what if you were just doing 2 shirts only? Would you be able to reuse the screen to burn another by putting more emulsion on it? Seems like it would be way too expensive to do it this way unless you had like 100 shirts to do with the screen you just spent so much time on setting up....Im confused lol ....To me it seems like just cutting a vinyl stencil would be way easier...I know I'm missing the point so hopefully you can explain because I cant find the reasons for doing it this way anywhere. I bought some screens and ink ect and vinyl but this is confusing me lol

If the streaks are the slimy, the emulsion is underexposed. Save the energy and wear on your flash unit by using a vacuum to quick dry an exposed screen. Works just as well without the potential of scorching the mesh and will make reclaiming a screen much easier.
