i really love this plant, it's such an easy and very forgiving plant to care for. i been in a lower moods a lot for these last couple of months and just lost all of my motivation to care for my plants anymore, so i just put them outside in the balcony and let the natures do whatever they do. but yesterday i started to check on the surviving ones and i see my Philondendron heartleaf is still thriving and growing so bushy and beautiful, along with Pothos and Micans as well, but my micans is kinda struggled with smaller leaves

What a gorgeous plant! I’m envious bc mine got very big over the summer, outdoors in New Jersey. It got so long that it reached the ground - but the leaves were getting smaller and smaller. A few months into fall, it had a bad mealy bug infestation and I had to trim it all the way back. I’d love to see mine catch up to yours!

Thank you so much! Mine has been getting so big, like she’s the alpha or sum 😂 I’m starting to get intimidated. So I decided to repot, and I’m sure by now you probably have too, but if you haven’t, I picked up a few of those cloth macrame plant hangers at TJ Maxx for ten or 15 bucks each and I’m just gonna install a hook into the ceiling (and pray it holds)

Have you thought about cutting off 1/3 of the root ball, then replanting in the same pot with fresh soil? That way you can keep him in the same window and not have to up pot him.

Love him! My favorite choice of plant is Philodendron as well. I especially love my Brasil. I use a wick system for some of mine to help keep them happy. Hey from Texas! 🙂

Hanging rods with drywall anchor and screws (or bolts) will keep them from pulling out of the wall. Just estimate how much weight you need and match the drywall anchor. Get them at any big box hardware store. Problem solved!

Light was the most important for mine to grow, I had it for a year a little away from the window, it grew slow and the leaves were small. I moved it to the windowsill and boom, it was now growing a crazy amount of leaves and the size of them increased! 😁

I just came here because my Heartleaf philodendron kinda started burning in one day coz the soil was dry... And believe me I water when the soil is 90 - 95% dry
