@chinsaw2727 yeah. Graf Zeppelin though was kinda about a decade behind if I'm being entirely honest. The ship had inefficient elevator layouts, the aircraft developed for it were not good for carrier operations, the singular small smokestack (compared to British and American Carriers) hampered the speed of the vessel. It was a dedicated carrier but had casemate guns like a battleship. The flight deck didn't extend over the bow to provide the extra runway needed to get heavier, more advanced carrier aircraft off the ship. Unfortunately, even if it was completed, sadly, Graf Zeppelin never would've been a great Carrier. Germany simply didn't have any experience building them and as a result the only one they had close to completion would have sucked a lot compared to others that would be completed around the same time. (Soviets made the same mistakes with the Kuznetsovs, their first true Carriers, only one of which they actually finished)
