It's a bloody shame you don't use full screen. This is unwatchable on phone. I liked your tutorial videos and was excited about a LP can't enjoy it due to the format.

I plan to do future HoI4 stuff in full screen later. I only got a complaint about it being hard to see on phone multiple streams in, everyone originally told me they saw it on phones just fine. Perhaps it depends on the size of the screen, I'm not sure. More than anything it's one of the pains of me having a really high resolution monitor and this game not having the best UI scaling. Still, much better than the UI scaling in CK2

@@MahDryBread oh yeah tell me about the UI scaling! I have "only" a 1440p screen and I have to choose between blurry image in 1080p setting or tiny text in native. Or use UI scaling (in EU4) which looks atrocious :( I reckon playing in 1080p offers the best viewing experience, even if it loses some of its shine. Anyway glad to hear future LPs will be full screen. I don't mind watching twitch content (I watch quill18 for instance), i just think the KZbin version is best served without chat and cam. But perhaps that's just me ;)

Yeah I've got a 1440p monitor too, it's super nice in strategy games in general but my show is in 1080p so sometimes it looks weird for the viewers. I usually have to test my preview on my other 1080p monitors to make sure it looks right when downscaled. Almost all of my LP's are in fullscreen, but most of the ones I stream have the overlay so that I don't end up covering the game with my facecam and whatnot. I have an ongoing poll in my vlog descriptions that asks all kinds of things about my show, including their feelings on my facecam on the streams. As of right now 67.46% of people prefer facecam, 30.40% have no preference, and 2.14% prefer to not have it. Only makes sense for me to go with the 98% on that. I also have one for if people read the on screen chat. 77.67% read the on screen chat once it uploads on KZbin, 17.34% don't, and 4.99% just don't watch the stream recordings at all. So About 98% of people are cool with the webcam and 77% of people read the on screen chat, so it seems like a pretty good part of the show based on the numbers.

@@MahDryBread guess it makes sense that the majority of your viewers like it the way it is - otherwise they probably wouldn't be here in the first place ;) look, going by those numbers you'd be crazy to radically change the format, though it might not be for me, I can appreciate the preference of others. To me it just looks "too busy" and i prefer the game being the sole focus, but you should definitely stick to your viewership! You do you mate, it's obviously working ;) I'll still check back when a new series hits in full screen, though it's likely that a superimposed chat and cam would turn me off. Which is ok. Tailor it for your existing fans, it's the right thing to do! Cheers

You could always declare war on poland when germany does "danzig or war." so that you own a peice.

That would have dragged me into a war with the allies far earlier than I'd like. I instead went after the Soviet Union after Germany did and took them out. That way I could handle the Soviet Union and Allies separately rather than in one war.

It's gonna be across two streams by the looks of it. This video here is part of the first stream. Out of interest, what's the size of your laptop screen? Because some people have told me they see fine on their phones while some others can't. I want to make sure everything looks good. Part of the issue is that my monitor is very large and this game doesn't have options for UI scaling or I'd make it bigger for the viewers. Worst comes to worst, I can do what I do for CK2 and just get rid of the onscreen chat and webcam, but that's a bit of a last resort. In my ongoing poll people are asked if they like the webcam or not. About 80% of people prefer it.
