The issue with Marshalls is you lose levels and skills when you promote them and sometimes you really should use a general to run small assaults all over a front rather than one, big central push

Jurjen SSW At that point, yeah a Field Marshall is the best choice but when invading Germany, it's hard to push through in one area so it's a good idea to have that big push backed up by smaller pushes with independent fronts and plans

Honestly, one of them playing a major seems like the right idea...I mean, bluntly, the last two series ended somewhat lowly, one in defeat and one in quagmire the could only really be won with cheeseball tactics (heavy tank rush and such). It'll be less difficult, but ultimately more satisfying I reckon.

When I did a playthough as the Soviet Union I made specialty defense unit's. Basically I put all anti-air anti-tank and artillery to hold the frontlines underneath the command of a decent general for holding the frontlines. I also made a whole army of tanks to push through any where the forts were to strong for the mechanized infantry to push through, so my infantry could follow them up to the frontlines and then destroy the rest of the enemy's military.

Guys these episodes aren't recorded like 2 days before they are released. Lewis had a shitton of time to improve, and if you saw his stream with Duncan, you would realize he got pretty damn good. I mean, after Sips decided to go for Army Focus instead of Industrial to start off, I'm certain Lewis is the better of the 2.
