Teachers surprise school custodian with new car

Hardworking school custodian Chris Jackson had fallen on hard times during the pandemic and was having trouble getting transportation to work. He had to rely on public transportation, which added more than an hour to his commute.
When teachers at Unity Grove Elementary found out, they surprised him by buying him a new car.

This story goes much deeper than this moment. This amazing janitor would bike 16 miles for work every day. He has six children that he’s trying to support and feed, so he really didn’t have an option and he put everything he had into this work. He was such an amazing asset to the school, and such a kind person, and he was saving up to buy a car, but he didn’t have enough money. Cars nowadays are extremely expensive, so the teachers got together… and raised enough money and found a connection to buy a really good car for him. He had been using a bicycle, 16 hours a day, for at least a year by this point in time. And when you figure out how long he spent getting to his job and getting home, which is I think more than six hours every day, you understand how this has changed his life forever. It makes it much more of a sweet moment when you know the entire backstory.

I think videos like these portray black people as needy and poor s opposed to showing them as equally self reliant as whites. I appreciate what these women did. Well @@pacovillafane80 I'm glad these people are doing good deeds just the filming part is weird. its to show off like "omg see im such a kind person i am helping this poor black guy" I mean a lot of the times it doesnt even feel like they are doing this for helping people. It seems like they are doing it to show off their wealth, and to get views on the internet. I mean think about it: if you were really interested in helping someone, why would you feel the need to film it for the whole world to see?
