HEAT 2 | CASTING

Heat is my fav movie of all time. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it, and also how many times by now I have read and listened to Heat 2 (via the audiobook). The narrator completely nails the impression of Hanna/Pacino. Can’t wait for this movie to be made. My choices for the (some) roles would be: Hanna: Oscar Isaac (can play younger and older Hanna) Neil: Adam Driver/Jon Bernthal Chris: Austin Butler Nate: Brad Pitt Otis Wardell: Jason Momoa Sgt. Drucker: Idris Elba Baumann: Clancy Brown Paolo: Ray Campbell Alex Daelicki: Aaron Paul Casels: Steven Quezada

No doubt! A film I could watch over and over for sure. Good call on the casting. Perhaps Anna Sawai or Jessica Henwick to play Ana. I'd go with Anna Sawai! That's a critical role! I think Ana De Armas will be playing Elisa. Not sure who will play her daughter Gabriella. Both pretty good roles to be had. Thanks for watching/commenting!!

Y’all low-key sleeping on chalamet as a young Vincent Hanna. He could slick own that role with the right preparation/study. Like bro.. I’m watching dune 2 in IMAX like the 2nd week it premiered and his closeups in that film were screaming Vincent Hanna. He definitely has the look for it.

After reading the book, i am stoked! I am hesitant knowing the original cast cant reprise their roles. Austin Butler as Kilmer might be pretty great! Great video man! Look forward to hearing what you think about the book!

i have to disagree heavy with the people saying chalamet is a bad casting for vincent. people hear chalamet as pacino and have a really strong aversion to that, but if we’re facing facts chalamet is one of the best young actors today and clearly has chosen a path of substance over hollywood fodder and big money films, also the icing on the cake is their resemblance, no matter how near and dear people hold pacino in this film, chalamet undeniably looks more like pacino than any other mainstream actor around that age, i mean he could be pacino’s son or grandson there is an insane likeness in their faces! for neil, i’m kind of torn. chris sheherlis(kilmer’s part) has the most names in the air: austin butler, jeremy allen white, chris hemsworth, aaron taylor johnson, robert pattinson & jack kilmer(val’s actual son) are all being considered from what i hear, so i guess we shall see. the film has way too big a profile to cast without it getting leaked or officially announced so whenever they go into pre-production we will know pretty quick. also on the bright side, each part may likely have 2 actors, one for the older version of that character and one for the younger, so if someone doesn’t like an actor in a part, maybe the 2nd actor will fit their taste more. just a theory tho. if mann will do a solid job with it and give it an interesting visual flair like the original film had and not have it look all contemporary and bland like most films today, along with great casting i’ll be on board. interested to see how it goes! this comment is entirely too long, but my vote if each role just has one actor, i’d probably say: chalamet for vincent for sure. if he turns it down, the only other person i can think of that is known, looks a lot like al and has the chops to pull it off is jacob elordi, though people would hate that more than chalamet most likely😂i’d be game though… jeremy allen white or butler for chris, and either the popular pick (adam driver), jon bernthal, or maybe even pattinson for neil. on a side note, i’m also interested to see who might play some of the side roles, most notably charlene sheherlis, donald breedan and michael cheritto(if mann brings those characters and others back that is). interested to see if for some of those secondary roles he’d cast some more unknown types or if he’ll try and just fill the cast up with big names. i’d be interested either way.
