I admire your tenacity. The Quartzsite RV Parks are not too bad, with access to electricity for fans and AC and hiding out in the afternoon

And, they say that Global Warming isn't occurring. For us, in Houston, it just keeps getting hotter. We had to buy a new $25,000 dollar air conditioner for the house to stay cool.

I hope you have the solar oven out to use all that sunshine! Kinda jealous, I have loads of shade and wind keeping mine out of the loop right now. And isn’t it nuts when a mere 100 in the evening feels pleasant, 90 is almost nippy!

Lorrie, glad you have AC this summer! Your dehydration experiments look yummy and you'll be able to store some food easily and in less space. 👍 Official high temp at PHX today was 117°F today. Apparently it hit it twice, so was for a brief period. Official gauge used to be near Terminal 1, under a tree in grassy area. Terminals 1 & 2 were demolished a number of years ago, but the thermometer/gauges remain in that area. It's hot in the N.E. Valley of the Sun, about the same temps you're experiencing. Haven't used AC yet (tested it in April and May), but that might change tonight. Second night at 90°F predicted. Forecast is a few days around 110°F, then climbing again. Fingers crossed! ... Teale 🏜️

I'm not sure which is worse. I'm back home in NH. I left Quartzsite a week ago. I could only do stuff outside from like 5:30am to 7:00am. It was painful to be outside after that. I have AC but that gets old. Now it's cool in NH at night and morning but it's 97% humidity. Nothing dries out. Rain and thunderstorms now. I was the very last person in Tyson Wash. For some reason I wasn't kicked out. I had a permit but that was only good for 14 days and ran out more then a month ago. They kicked out everyone else so I don't know why they left me alone. There was a lady down the way who stopped by. She told me it was nice that everyone was gone and she could take a shower outside naked now. When she left she said she was going to take a shower now. Was she baiting me. She was kind of gross. She got kicked out even though she had an expired permit like me so I'm confused. 72 here now and 93% humidity

Lorrie, that’s toooo hot! I booked a 10 week ticket for Southeast Asia, to be a beachbum on white sand beaches and stick my toes in warm water seas again. Just killing time till I leave in August. Save a TD drumstick for me since the next I’ll get to Q-town will be after Election Day and then running east for deer season in Kentucky. Be careful down there in the evenings, stay nimble for dodging those pesky rattlesnakes on the sidewalks! Stay cooool lady.

@@makinnewcounts6676 - No firm itinerary yet, other than a full moon party (mid October) on Kho Phangan. My other plans are still up in the air, but I have a likely journey route I may head out on, lollygagging and dilly dallying as I please along the way. I travel light and will probably be starting from BKK. Crossing into Cambodia, and after visiting the ruins at Siem Reap, may cross the lake to head down the Mekong to PP. From there, head towards the Gulf of Thailand to do some island hopping around Sihanoukville. Then back to PP to cross into Vietnam, taking the Mekong River ride between PP and HCM City. Maybe from there, the train ride between HCM City and Hanoi, with a stop to visit the Nha Trang Sailing Club for some quick snorkeling trips along the way. An arrival at Hanoi would mandate a few nites on a boat riding around Halong Bay, and maybe a couple other side trips, like Sa Pa? After all that, perhaps a meandering journey back to Thailand to get to Kho Phangan for the party. Probably, easiest way to begin this journey will be taking that first step from Khaosan Road at the Khao Sarn Center, around 25 August.

The only thermometers accurate in direct sunshine are on weather stations with the white, slotted cover that shelters the thermometer but allows air flow. Mercurial, digital, wall, all need to be in shade.

I know what you mean I came out there in the summer of 22 and there was a place for rent on the second street off the freeway from the Pilot gas station you make a right and it goes around the park is on the right hand side the rent is around 400 hundred plus the electric and the temp was 112. I saw no one but the owners there. They showed me their trailers but couldn't make up their mind to rent to me. So I left but your right it was hot out there.those places would make the bank if they had a pool on site. I hope you stay cool and you get your tire fixed. Does Ron live there? Or is he on the road. I haven't seen too many videos on his channel lately well take care.
