I have a camp chair with the pockets and a folding table on the side and I love it. I do use the pockets to hold my phone, flashlight, bug spray, napkins, kleenex and other random stuff as needed. Definitely a chair that is for regular camping and not hike in camping, but it works great for what I use it for.

Quick tip: I've noticed you put the long poles in the seat poclets first. Since you were complaining about the strength it takes to get the poles in the pockets you should try doing the short poles first (the longer poles will flex more and make it easier). I've found the same thing on my REI chair - putting the long poles in last is way easier.

Pocket I was a anti chair guy but now I take it everywhere! I went with the tusk chair because at the time it was tested and reviewed by some very big guys with great reviews. It is a heavy chair, but it has a pocket!! And I use it! I always use the pocket, usually for a beer. But even on long hikes or camping I will put a water bottle in it or flashlight, cooking utensils, or even just a hand towel rag, sometimes the wrapper from opening food so it doesn’t blow away until I can clean up. Sometimes I will keep rocks in my chair pocket! I use them to throw at my buddies when they try to put their beers in my pocket, unless there full, for me to drink 👍🏻

I've got several chairs that have the pockets and they do get used, but they get used when the chair isn't being used for camping. Waiting for a parade or fireworks is when they come in handy. There are usually books and snacks in the pockets. One chair has a little cooler bag in the arm rest. Camping the book and other entertainment is in the tent, snacks are in the cooler, everything has other places. Pockets are really only good for events where everything you need has to be right at the chair

Integrating a wheeled cabin luggage with a handle and a foldable camping seat requires a thoughtful blend of ergonomic design, durability, and portability to meet travelers’ practical needs. Here are some ideas to improve upon this concept: 1. Enhanced Folding Mechanism • Design: Develop a quick-release folding mechanism that securely locks and unlocks the seat with minimal effort, ideally using a one-touch button. Consider using gas pistons or durable hinges that allow the seat to fold out and retract smoothly. • Advantage: Quick setup and pack-away improve the user experience, especially for those needing a quick rest during long waits. • Example: Drawing from foldable stroller mechanisms, which prioritize smooth operation, durability, and simplicity. 2. Lightweight, Sturdy Materials • Design: Use materials like high-grade aluminum or carbon fiber for the seat frame, making it sturdy but lightweight. For the luggage body, use polycarbonate or ballistic nylon to maintain durability without adding excess weight. • Advantage: Reduces overall weight, making it easy to maneuver while maintaining enough strength to support the user’s weight. • Example: Carbon fiber is used in premium sports gear to balance strength and lightness, making it ideal for frequent travelers. 3. Multi-Functional Handle System • Design: Integrate a telescoping handle that can act as a backrest when the seat is deployed. The handle could also feature adjustable height and angle to enhance comfort. • Advantage: Allows the user to lean back while seated, providing comfort and minimizing fatigue. • Example: Inspiration from folding chairs with built-in lumbar support, which are ergonomic and compact. 4. Compact Seat Design with Breathable Fabric • Design: Use a breathable mesh seat that’s foldable and detachable, similar to lightweight camping chairs. The seat should fold into the luggage body itself, flush with the surface, to avoid compromising the luggage’s compact shape. • Advantage: Comfort is enhanced, especially for longer waits, while avoiding the bulk of traditional seating solutions. • Example: The Helinox camping chair uses a flexible mesh fabric that’s durable and comfortable without adding weight. 5. Integrated Battery Pack and USB Ports • Design: Embed a compact battery pack within the luggage structure, with USB ports easily accessible when the seat is deployed. This lets travelers charge devices while resting. • Advantage: Practical for travelers who need to keep devices charged without searching for power outlets. • Example: Products like the Away luggage line incorporate this feature, but here it would be positioned for ease of use while seated. 6. Anti-Slip Seat Feet for Stability • Design: The foldable seat could be equipped with anti-slip, rubberized feet that provide stability on various surfaces, ensuring safety. • Advantage: Travelers can safely use the seat even on slightly uneven or slippery floors, like in train stations or airports. • Example: Anti-slip materials are often used in outdoor furniture to provide stability on uneven surfaces. 7. Customizable Seat Cover Options • Design: Offer removable and washable seat covers in various colors or materials (e.g., leather, waterproof fabric) to allow for easy cleaning and personalization. • Advantage: Adds a level of customization and hygiene, which can be particularly appealing for frequent travelers. • Example: Similar to office chairs that allow personalized upholstery, increasing user comfort and style. 8. Shock-Absorbing Wheels for Smooth Mobility • Design: Incorporate shock-absorbing wheels, similar to those found in skateboards or rollerblades, allowing smoother transitions over bumpy surfaces. • Advantage: Reduces wear on the luggage and increases user comfort while wheeling through different surfaces, like cobblestone or asphalt. • Example: Skateboard wheels use urethane for shock absorption, which could be adapted for the luggage. Practical Action Points: 1. Prototyping and User Testing: Build a prototype incorporating these features and gather feedback from frequent travelers to refine usability. 2. Material Selection and Weight Testing: Experiment with carbon fiber, aluminum, and lightweight mesh fabrics to achieve a balance between durability and lightness. 3. Ergonomic Study for Comfort: Conduct an ergonomic study on handle positioning and seat comfort to ensure the design meets comfort standards for different body types. Suggested Resources: • Textbook: Product Design and Development by Karl T. Ulrich and Steven D. Eppinger, which offers insights into prototyping, testing, and materials. • KZbin Video: Look for videos by “Core77 Design Awards” on KZbin, where top industrial designs are reviewed, providing real-world examples and inspiration. This enhanced design could give travelers a more comfortable, convenient, and efficient experience, blending portability with much-needed comfort during waits or delays.

I've got one of each the olive colour and the tan / khaki colour. I've owned them for more than a year and they are still performing very well. Decathlon also makes a similar type of chair, which I also own, but the materials definitely feel lower quality, it has a lighter weight limit, and I have already managed to burn a small hole in the seat of it when a spark from the fire landed on it. The NatureHike chairs have not given me any issues, apart from the fact that when you remove the anti-sink feet, the other rubber feet tend to come off with them (I think I can see this happening in your video as well). I don't really mind this, as I leave the anti-sink feet on permanently, but it could be irritating if you want to switch them out often. I love using the storage bag as a pocket on the bottom of the chair, as you can fit so much more in it that in other chair pockets.

Hey, great video, I've got this chair already and I really Ike it. The anti sink feet do remove the smaller caps off the bottom of chair, but it's never bothered me, they just end up staying inside the bigger feet when I pack it away and I always use the bigger anti sink feet each time I use the chair so not an issue for me. I also sometimes carry the chair separately or externally from pack, by using a clip on strap on the loops of the carry bag and carry it over my shoulder. I also have the green version and I love the colour not one of these bright in your face colours that camping chairs usually come in lol😊.

My concern is on durability. Just last weekend I saw a broken chair left at a camp during 3 day shake down hike. I just have a feeling chairs are short life items.

I have a chair almost exactly like this one made by iClimb has anti sink feet I got off of Amazon I love. That looks like another hit for Nature Hike

I do like to have a small pocket to keep a small flashlight in to have it handy before it gets dark at the campsite.

My One Tigris is just 2.54 lbs, so I don't have a need to replace it with this. In fact, for backpacking, my go to is a 16oz (1lb) Stansport stool.

The long bars have more give, so when you’re putting on the fabric seat, do the short legs first.

I’m still using the sportneer chair from one of your earlier videos. Works like a treat.

It's the same weight as the Naturehike chairs that have been available for a couple of years of more. (I have 2 of them) unless America only got access to them recently. I am in England.

I have the Sportneer chair you reviewed a few years ago and have put things in the pockets while sitting at camp but definitely can do without. Still, this chair is the same weight and I see no need to buy this one. BTW, big fan of Nature hike here! I

Looks like a nice product at an excellent price. I would be interested to hear if it was difficult to remove the original feet from the anti -sinking feet since it stayed attached when you removed the anti-sink foot from the chair. Surprised you didn’t mention that. Another great review.

I feel like those corners would rip after a season of use. I break or wear out any bag or camp chair at 220lbs with clothes on.

That is an impressive value.

I have the Alpkit Vagabond, which is very similar - anti-sink feet, same moon shape, no plastic in the frame, it's all alumoinium so 1kg rather than 900g-ish. It's a good chair.

I don’t use the pockets either, but I do like a good strong cup holder though.

Love the anti sink feet idea. I may 3D print some for my current chair.

This chair is similar to mine that I got years ago for $35.00. I had to buy the anti-sink feet separately. I roll mine up in a small tarp since I use one as a porch pad for me getting in and out of my hammock. Mine has last a long time. No I haven't had pockets on my chair and really haven't needed one.
