Thank you for a great comparison. None of the other comparisons that I'd viewed mention the pressure. Proper pressure is extremely important when applying ink and vinyl to a substrate for it not to peel or washout in the laundry, especially if you're sellign items as a business.

I have the original blue Easy Press, and have used it the past couple years. I do not have a business, and only craft for friends and family. But I just got a 12 x 15" heat press similar to yours. I have only used it twice so far, but it was great for holding the stronger pressure for 50 seconds required for Cricut patterned iron-on. I also want to do dye-sublimation with the heat press, and this requires more pressure and longer press times too. My new heat press was a good bit cheaper than the large Easy Press 2, so buying the heat press rather than the large Easy Press 2 was an easy decision for me. Even if I never use any of the attachments that came with it.

@@exquisitenailsbynancy Not sure which heat press Tanner was using, but I bought an F2C Pro (Factory to Consumer, I think) from Amazon. It came highly recommended by several bloggers I follow. I have used it for well over a year, and still love it. Mine came with 5 attachments, and I've never used any of them. Amazon has one very similar to the one I bought (a bit smaller and no attachments) for $84 right now. The one for $84 is 12x10", and I got 12x15". The large Easy Press 2 is $199, so would still be an easy decision for me to get the heat press. If you search Amazon, you can probably still find the 12x15" size F2C heat press, and come out way ahead on price. I agree if you still have upper body strength and not worried about price, you might do as well with the Easy Press 2. However, my arms have lost a lot of strength in recent years, so the Heat Press was a life saver for me! Especially as I love to do dye-sublimation, which requires a good bit of pressure for an extended time.

I have both the swing away heat press and an easy press. I prefer my swing away heat press! And lol I don’t have to continually move my heat press! And I have grand kids but, just like everything else that can be dangerous I watch them so I don’t have to worry about them getting burned! The only part of your video I agree with is the attachments are not that great. But you can buy a heat press for around $139 on amazon without the attachments.

I have a question about the 5:1 heat press. What are you using in between the top and bottom plates? Mine came with a foam pad and a red rubber like mat. And I don’t know if have to use both or just one. The instructions that came with it doesn’t say. Because it has this bad smell when heating up and I know it’s one of the mats I just don’t know which one.

I have the easy press and have trouble applying equal pressure. I literally put my project on the floor and put my knees on the easy press and use my body weight. The htv peels easily. I did it on the table with pressure and i sweat my butt off and my htv just doesnt peel as easy. I just might wnd up purchasing the heat press u linked. Just worried that itll break because amazon has so many good and bad reviews.

Great Idea! With Print then cut, any simple InkJet printer will work great. Standard ink, and standard paper. We like to use a heavier cardstock with ours, but any paper works fine. Hats are a breeze with the EasyPress, especially the Cricut EasyPress Mini: amzn.to/2zvjW9D . As for plates and cups, we use regular adhesive vinyl for those because in order for those to be food-safe and dishwasher safe you would HAVE to seal them, and there is no difference in using HTV or regular vinyl once sealed, so why choose the harder, more expensive option of HTV? :) Hope this helps!!

We don't like using HTV on mugs... for that, we use printable vinyl for the photo, apply it on, and then seal it as we would anyways :)

We can't really vouch for the heat press as much as we can the EasyPress. The temp has always been very accurate with the EasyPress. We do not use the heat press often.

We are not working for Cricut :) All of our opinions are our own, and here we are years after this video aired and that heat press is still here gathering dust, never used since this video... That should speak for itself as we are a company who uses HTV on a daily basis. We are not a Cricut Partner, and we highly recommend the EasyPresses because of their size, convenience, and versatility.
