Those capacitors on the defrost board had definitely seen better days. Reminded me of Electroboom or Slow Mo Guys blowing up capacitors!

That melted high voltage wire sure fried a lot of low voltage components. I’m sure you were glad it didn’t take out the reversing valve coil as well!
