Heat Shrink tubing for cables with your Brother P-touch Label Maker HSe Heat Shrink Label Sleeve

In this video Ivy will show you how easy it is to use heat shrink tubing with your Brother P-touch label maker. Heat Shrink labels (HSe) are not compatible with all Brother Ptouch label printers. Sometimes called Heat Shrink Sleeves - these slip over wires and cables and then a heat gun is used to shrink the tubing to size. They only work (at the time of this video) with the following: PT-D600, PT-E300, PT-E500, PT-E550W, PT-E800W, PT-P750, PT-P900W, PT-P950NW

I just purchased the PT -E105. I am using it to label wires from 18 ga to 12 ga. It's ok, and I am going to try the extra adhesive labels and see if I can have better adhesion. I don't care for the flags. I usually just wrap them circular around the wire. Now, the heat shrink labels would be ideal, so, I'll have to research the different sizes available for the different mil size of the wire. The insulation properties determines the overall diameter of the wire irregardless of the gauge. Your video does a better deep dive than most about the Brothers labelers. To me, the critical point is the type of labels for the application. The labeler just prints the labels. Just choose the one that meets your requirements. The labels are the main enchilada.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm looking for a 1" label maker, and really like the PT-D610BT. The video description said heat shrink labels will technically work with PT-D600. Do you know if the heat shrink will work with the newer PT-D610BT machine? Thanks for the help.

One thing I want to know how to set cuts. For some weird reason my E550W does not cut after print but ask me to press the print button again when feed and cut twice . I'm wasting a LOTS of tape .

Brother says on the site PT-D400 AND 450 as well. Plus in thier book that came with it. Can you confirm?

Yes we do but they cannot be used in the PTH110.

Not technically on paper but I think you'll find it does.

How do I get the words centered on the shrink tube. Right now I’ve been cutting off one end to shorten the label up. Wastes a lot of shrink tube

Look into chain-printing. It is a feature at least with the labels, so I suspect it could work with the tube.

What about PT-D610BT? Isn't it a replacement model for PT-D600?

Yes, that is the replacement for the PTD600.

Not easily, once you get a edge cut you can tear or slice off.
