Heat fan here, still can't believe we even won this game. That ball movement and 3pt shooting throughout this series was BEAUTIFUL to watch from San Antonio. Literally no team could've beaten them. Way to put it to us SA.

@razkable8 жыл бұрын
+Dregsandguan i think miami could have beat san antonio in games 1-3 in 2014...the 2013 spurs in games 1-3 were more impressive.....they won game 3 by 37 .....miami lost game 1 cause lebron didnt play late due to the ac breaking.....if miami goes up 2-0 on the road...they win im sorry and had lebron played they win game 1....the spurs ball movement in games 1 and 2 was average...the heat were right there.......even though the spurs had a perfect game 3 first half in 2014.....like 18-20 from the filed........in the third quarter miami cut it to 9 and they werent playing well...if bosh and wade showed up and didnt score less than 10 points they could have gone up 3-0...if they showed up the spurs whose third was average would have said hey we are down 2-0 we played perfect and yet miami who beat us last year like they did are right there in the 4th?..... ...can we beat these guys?....it gets in there heads...sweep.....instead i think lebron told his team he was leaving no matter what so they gave up on him.....also its hard to beat the spurs in two series period let alone...in the finals two years in a row....no one has ever done it...when healthy...the lakers did it but duncan didnt play in one series....the motivation was there....also the heat defense was tired and slow and look when your team consists of old guys like haslem battier lewis allen wade 34 year old birdman ...its gonna be hard....chalmers also disappeared meaning mills and parker and ginobli got to see the floor and execute without pressure which he usually applies and he didnt hit shots....4 straight finals....its hard to find motivation ...thats why the cramp gate game is the only one they won....they had to prove themselves....

Asmosis Jones sports don’t work like that with all those ifs. The FACTS is that San Antonio washed Miami in this series badly. thats what happens when your in 4 straight finals...and lebrons gonna leave anyways.... and you play a smart spurs team that you faced the year before and you beat in a tough 7...they were miamis perfect worst matchup....high iq and unselfish play aka ball movement...dribbling is the worst thing to do vs miami...the spurs learned this in 2013...without that experience of losing to miami in 2013 no way they beat them....you need to lose to them first to learn how they beat you with defense......instead of drive they just passed it inside...and they won......the only true team in even including the warriors in the last 2 years that could beat the heat since 2010.....if lebrons gonna quit then of course the mavs beat him in 2011 lol...that doesnt count....the other spurs team is more motivated and have watched you so much more in the finals because they have more tape then you do...period....they know how to beat you......you get tired....and sloppy...the only way to beat the spurs is by playing hard....which miami didnt want to....bosh was hot but not taking any shots...and miamis defense was just stopping running to hope guys just miss....to me if lebron returned miami would have won the last 2 titles with or without bosh cause he and wade would be so motivated.....the heat had their worst defense in 4 years....mario chalmers and norris cole didnt show up...at all....they went comatose for games 3-4.......you need to stop the spurs head aka the point guards and they couldnt score pass shoot nor defend them...a team like the spurs with their high iq and unselfish championship dna and shooting ability are hard to stop if your lazy....miami didnt play bad on offense but the turnovers and defense was garbage all series long...it was a really bad week...in june... it happens...

This playoff layout of 2-2-1-1-1 was so much better. It was so broken having 3 games in a row for the team with the worse record, it's not even a home court advantage anymore. Glad they changed it to the NHL's playoff layout.
@LeadSails10 жыл бұрын
Yeah these past playoffs, the finals was first two games at home for the better record team, followed by 3 in a row on the road, then the last 2 at home. It screws you over harder if you lose 1 of your first two home games because then you're forced to play 3 in a row on the road. Now they changed it and made it similar to the NHL's where it's 2 games at home, 2 away, 1 home, 1 away, and 1 home.
@DonkeyKong54799 жыл бұрын
The 2-3-2 format also sucked because it puts more pressure on the team without home court advantage to finish the series in 5 games, otherwise they can't clinch the championship on their home floor which takes away the "moment". It also takes the overall competitiveness away in the last 2-3 games, I don't know why they ever changed it in the first place tbh.

+George Khoshaba Not really... its extremely tough winning 3 sraight home games, in fact, it hardly never happens...

honestly idk what happened to Miami. Heat were leading in the 4th quarter of game 1, eventually melted down and Spurs went on a 31-9 run but still Heat were competitive. Then Game 2 it stays close all the way and Heat manage to pull of a win. Then they melted down rest of the series. One thing I noticed was Heat never exceeded 100 points thanks to the incredible San Antonio defence. So once SAS managed to get an offensive rythm they never looked back again.

Well minus Dallas Lbj played terrible he had to will this team through every victory yes that's his job but they were pretenders they constantly gave up leads when he would go to the bench for a second. Which is why they did not make the playoffs the following year leading to his departure

Asinine the spurs always get stronger as the series goes along...and it wasn't really as close as you think. Spurs had over 20 turnovers in Game 1 and still won by 15. In Game 2 it took a great performance from Lebron just for the Heat to BARELY win, and even then Spurs lost the game mainly due to missed FTs. Series was really that close to being a sweep. In short, this Spurs team was built for a series and the Heat could only throw an early barrage of punches

Kawhi Leonard. He dominated the last three games of the series. Even though he only averaged 17.8 PPG (mainly because he only scored 9 points in game 1 and 2) he shot over 60% from the field which is the highest for a finals MVP. He also shot over 57℅ from the three. He was pretty much on fire..

Akira Sendoh lmaoo , they're just playing fundamentals , it's old school ball , you most likely wouldn't enjoy the 80's and 90's if you call this team boring
