the life long mystery of why metal feels so cold is finally solved! thanks professor!
@camwyn2569 жыл бұрын
Wished you talked more about radiation, but I really learned about these through survival. In survival there's two more methods and they are respiration and perspiration. The first three are the same. Conduction (sitting on a snow covered log). convection (wind always feels colder), and radiation (loosing heat to the sky)

You make my life so much easier! Thank you!

So, convection implies there has been radiation or conduction (collisions) first before there is movement/flow. ??

is a cold object giving a warmer object energy still called heat?
@ronmaest10 жыл бұрын
No. A warm (energetic) object transferring energy to a colder (less energetic) one is heat. It's the process.
@sophiah38558 жыл бұрын
From what I remember from my science class, there is no such thing as "cold", so that can't happen I think
