I agree with Tom I don’t think City really see Arsenal as a hard game especially after the battles they’ve had with Liverpool the past few seasons. Definitely agree as a city fan, when Liverpool came to the etihad or we went to anfield there was genuine concern of loosing and missing out on the title. However with arsenal I feel confident every game we play them and don’t rate them anywhere near the Liverpool side we went toe to toe with.

I agree with the whole Arsenal didn't actually push City, I think the reality is Arsenal pushed for the title and Man City just did the same thing they do every year knowing they'd get to the points they did regardless of Arsenal. If you take Arsenal out of the league last year City don't do anything differently. It's also why it wouldn't surprise me City could see Arsenal as an easy game when they'd not been beaten by Arsenal in about 14 years and beat them 7-2 on aggregate last season.

In one Europa League match saliba and tomiasyu got injured leaving us with no rb coverage at all no cb coverage other than kiwior who had yet to debut for arsenal and holding who is mid table quality on a good day. To say arsenal's "soft underbelly" is the reason they bottled it instead of the two major defensive injuries is criminal when you look at the win rate and the goals conceded when saliba played compared to when he was out injured.

And Saliba didn’t lock up Haaland, Pep locked up Haaland by playing a 4-2-4 with Kovacic who can’t break lines like Gundogan could. As soon as Foden came on we had someone who’d actually play between the lines as Alvarez was meant to and especially when KDB came on we scored within 5 minutes. Arsenal are a good team but even when they are playing well aren’t elite enough to put us in a spot of bother. When City play Arsenal I know that as long as our full backs are on it we will win. And seeing as Walker is faster than Martinelli and Ake always has the better of Saka that always happens.
