He has shed light on various sub-cultures of hip hop by doing music that represents the particular art form from all over the world. People said he was a culture vulture, however, you can see it as Drake paying homage to the art forms. Both have made an impact in their own right and deserve to be celevrated equally.

Drake’s “reign” truly started in an era of digital consumption. Whereas Jay’s reign started in an era where if you truly adored an individual’s music and respected the individual’s image, you had to go and make a physical purchase out of support, paying for something that you can damn call “yours”, you know? ..There can never really be a comparison and shouldn’t be.
