This was a plan in the making to take this man down - think about the beef jay z had with R. Kelly and think about about the woman who interviewed R. Kelly that questioned him about hi his marriage to AALYIAH, R. Kelly god her fired and killed her career then R. Kelly won a lawsuit against jay z and jay had to pay r Kelly millions of dollars. Fast forward the woman R. Kelly killed her career is the same woman that say with jay z to help write his book, think about all the things they didn’t put in jay z book fast forward who do you think is the producer of the lifetime documentary “SURVIVING R KELLY” bingo you guessed it the same woman who r Kelly got fired and killed her career - so yes karma is a bitch- but this was a brilliant chess move let the public hang him first then let the courts bury him after and that’s exactly what happened. No one ever does research they just listen to what’s out in front of them. She controlled the content of what those girls said it was all revenge served cold.

I would never support any form of illegal activity, but we as African Americans who are shouting from the mountain tops that we want history to not be forgotten, seem to have forgotten that the law was created to limit the age when we can engage in sex with each other was passed after slavery so that we would remain the minority. The United States was populated by mail order brides who were children sent to marry and bear children for adults. As I said before it is illegal now, but understanding is the key to everything. The same people who created the law and are prosecuting others routinely fly to Thailand and engage in sexual acts with young girls and boys.

I can understand both sides. I mean it is true that you have to separate the art and the artist. I always give the example of Bill Cosby. Ok what about the movie Jack with Robin Williams. Should I not watch that movie? Or should I fast forward through the parts Cosby is in since he's not a major part of that movie? Lol. Or with R Kelly he wrote songs for a lot of artists. You'd have to discover every song he wrote too so you can not listen to those. And there's all kinds of people in all typed of things that probably did messed up things we haven't discovered. I also can understand not wanting to separate art from an artist in the sense that you don't want to give or make them any money by supporting them. Or also in the case that their art is related to what they did. If an R Kelly song sounds like him talking about some of the disturbing things he did then I def understand not wanting to listen to him.

It was disgusting that his female fans multiplied in number, after the tape came out. Women are very hypocritical when it comes to what they complain about. He was messing with little girls man. We have to defend against all forms of that, no matter how famous, rich or talented. We failed our people, not speaking out loud against this. Radio stations should all be ashamed. Disgusting.

@ Boss Lady83 I grew up in NYC in the 90's and early 2000's. A lot of older guy's were dating teenage girls. It was not right but somehow it was normalized. It was something we saw and thought nothing of it unless the age gap was really huge. Parents cannot be to blame to some extent because our parents were always working and even if they were home, most of us in NYC took public transportation. Traveling to and from school taking one to two buses far from home was a breeding ground for guys to make their move. A lot of men cannot tell me that they did not know at least one guy who was doing that? From what I remember dudes would have friends around when conversing with a young girl or be picking up his young girlfriend. Teenage girls in those times were very mature and actively wanted to be with older guys. It was by no means okay, but that's how it was unfortunately.

But again I happen to really wanna know about things before commenting and even condemning anyone, lack of info makes one to fill in the gaps and that serves to distort what really happened. So people gotta make sure that they really know what happened, their deductions and assumptions aren't cutting it. So, instead of having something to say now, I rather waitfor the trial for all the sides to be heard because one sided piece of story isn't the truth.
