@@aarongeorge2702 But it obviously isn't being taught at home, is it? So it needs to be addressed in a healthy way in schools.

Constantly teaching girls they are victims leads them into abusive situations. We are not perpetual children, we can expect each other to raise the bar on expectations from men in our lives. A mother to boys, I will not teach them they are violent or automatically rapists because they are males, yes masculinity is good for society not toxic. I also teach them to avoid abusive females, what behaviors to watch out for that could harm them down the road. He challenges the masculine expectation of providing for the family but then we have a society where a women can legally financially abusive a man in divorce courts and with child support. Dual messaging. I am so tired of the schools thinking they are moral arbiters for children. The audacity.
@hanit279 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't it do the opposite of teaching girls that they are victims? A lot of women stay with an abusive partner because they think it is okay or normal. By teaching that it isn't, women can get out of abusive situations. Men are not inherently violent or rapists, and women are not inherently nonviolent and not able to be rapists. Teaching them to avoid abusive people, in general, is a great idea. How is child support abuse? that makes literally no sense. Child support is supposed to give money to support the child both parties created. Women and men are both supposed to give child support if they are not their child's primary guardian. Do you just not want parents to be responsible in raising their children? Do you think that showing kindness and respect towards others is a "moral arbiter"? Lol, so you think that it is not an inherently good thing to be kind and respectful. Overall, your argument is pretty dumb and makes no sense.

Oh my god, teaching boys is good, we already know what happens when you don't we are living in it. It starts at home tho definitely, stop shipping responsibilities to schools. School should echo this protocol. all kids need to know how to behave with each other true but in our current state we need separate lessons, perhaps dont label the lesson how not to be a predator lol. as it's only an attack if that's your perspective. No real help created should be bashing you or appear to be singling you out. It should just be helpful

"I will bring up my boys to be men but my daughter is my angel and will get what she wants." Well, you're going to end up with resentful sons who might contemplate suicide from being brought up as second class (but hey, your kids your rules) and an entitled spoiled brat for a daughter that no man will want to put up with for any length of time. Fail.
