In fact, the skin of the female genitals and the male genitals is vastly different. So, even if one is trained and certified to perform female genital waxing, this does not mean that the procedure is the same for the male genital. Male genitals, and the skin for such, is far different than that of female genitals, requiring more stretching of the skin... the very thin skin. That aside, this person, yaniv, did not care about the services. He cared about causing an uproar and making a political point, while attempting to force women to handle his yet male genitals, including women who's rights he was infringing upon... or at least attempting to infringe upon... for moral, religious, technical and marital reasons. I'm just going to settle this once and for all, because these days people get confused about phrasing and I don't like my words to be twisted or used by any person/channel who gets their attention this way: I do not discriminate against people who are genuinely transsexual or transgender. I empathize with them and I think they were dealt a very difficult hand in this life. I do, however, think that Yaniv is lying and exploiting the trans movement by posing as one. I think this is disgusting and harmful for the girls and women he comes in touch with, the businesses and the employees that get fired once the affected businesses are shut down and the trans people who would potentially have to deal with suspicion because a predator posed as one of them. And it takes strength to stay calm and keep talking to a person like this knowing what you know and having all the evidence that there is an active pedophile on the loose trying to lie to you in your face and using your cause to satisfy his urges. I hope this clears up all potential misunderstandings.

Laws Canada gets right about trans people: 1) Providing legal protection for trans people in the workplace such as not firing people for simply being trans 2) OHIP coverage for transition procedures (assuming they have been filed for in advance) 3) Making transgender healthcare in general easily accessible. Things Canada gets wrong for trans people: 1) Mandated pronoun use (when you should be allowed to be an asshole. I'm also not mandated to be your friend) and 2) Allowing people like Jessica Yaniv to take advantage of anti-discrimination laws to force cis women to wax male genitalia without an option to decline it. It's fine to make provisions for trans people in places like salons, but it should be up to the practitioner to decline a client they aren't comfortable working on for any reason. If they're wrong, the people will make that clear by boycotting and defamation.

Hais Crozier I found it kinda funny too but, at the same time it made me sad. I just want to make sure that people know that schizophrenia is not really like that. My best friend is schizophrenic and she is nothing like that, and I had a schizophrenic family member live in my house because her abusive boyfriend was taking advantage of her condition. She was a very disoriented person and didn't know what was real or not and because of that she could not protect herself. I know this is a joke and it's not one I think is intentionally harmful I just believe it is a misrepresentation. I am in no way angry just quite concerned as to how schizophrenia is perceived. Yaniv knows what he's doing and he is not deluded he knows it's wrong and doesn't care. He pretends he didn't do those things just to protect himself. But perhaps he is schizophrenic and on meds, I'm no expert but I have some experience with it.

@@sophielauren7821 I just had thought it was funny moreso because it caught me off guard and she was quick about it. I'm sure that Blaire hadn't meant that she actually thinks that Yaniv has actual schizophrenia, just the first thing that came to mind when she wanted to make the joke. And believe me, I love psychology and love learning about things that go on with the mind, so I know that Yaniv really would not be an example of schizophrenia, just ignorant and a predator. I'm sorry if Blaire saying that brought up some of the feelings some people may get from when people perceive schizophrenia wrong and make them seem like bad people, because they really aren't bad people. Just know that any logical/respectable person knows the truth or is willing to learn. If someone automatically assumes the worst based on how it's sometimes perceived in the media and such, they are just ignorant to the subject and either need to be taught or need to be ignored if not willing because they are clearly just hateful. Thank you for trying to teach and help others see the other side of things. I totally get where you are coming from; sometimes it's hard to think about those types of things before saying/thinking them when you don't know as much. Some may see you as being a little sensitive about it but I think it's good to make people more aware of it. It's not being sensitive, you're being empathetic. You're a good person. And I'm very sorry to hear about your family member dealing with that, I hope that things are better for her now!

If you're chosing to be offended over a joke that I myself hadn't made, then that is on you and I apologize over the fact that you feel as such. Just because not everyone addresses that Blaire had said that, doesn't mean that they hadn't had a chuckle regarding it. Schizophrenia in itself isn't funny, not a bit. Topics in themselves may not have any humor but things that you don't expect for people to say, can cause someone to have a laugh at the joke. It happens. That's how it is sometimes.
