HEATER CORE REPLACEMENT in this truck is very difficult. The job requires dashboard removal and includes Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL. REPLACING this HEATER CORE requires some skill and patience. You will also have to discharge the air conditioner in order to remove the dashboard so that you can replace the LEAKING HEATER CORE.

this does not work on the 1999 Chevy Silverado...to remove the heater core in it you have to remove the whole entire dashboard

also any time you break the seal on your A/C unit you should vacuum down the unit and replace the O rings...so many things were not mentioned in this video...and if you don't have an A/C reclaim unit you need to take it to a garage that does

and if you do take to a repair shop for the A/C portion do not attempt to just refill all by itself as a vacuum needs to be pulled on the system to ensure are no leaks...have to have proper A/C oil put in system and recharged...even after taking to a repair shop for this when you get it home to change the heater core prepare to be outside working on it at least half a day as the 1999 Chevy Silverado as at a repair shop it takes 7-8 hrs just to remove and replace the heater core and put dash back in
