Heath Ledger was a beautiful human being and a phenomenal actor one of the best ever why is he one of the best ever? because in the span of 4 years he gave 2 once in a lifetime performances powehouse performances and he was only getting started imagine what he could have done in these 16 years scary to think about, RIP Heath you were such a special talent

Born and raised around men exactly like Ennis, Ledger’s performance sent and continues to send chills over me. It’s like being plunged back into that world as if I’d never left it, one I’d fought hard to escape. That a young Australian actor could profoundly inhabit that skin while giving a showstopping performance is a singularity in cinematic history. His loss at such an early age is a tragedy so unthinkable, the mind boggles.

I fell in love with Heath from "A Knight's Tale." While it was an amazing ensemble cast, obviously the leading man anchored the film, brought it to life, made it real or at least compelling. Then there was "The Patriot," where he was excellent while not over-shadowing the leading man (Mel's character). His most amazing performance, as much as I love Brokeback Mountain, is as the Joker. "Health" disappeared and for most of the movie, he was unrecognizable. You can catch glimpses of Heath, but it's just that. It was one of the most amazing transformations I have ever seen. The menace when he appeared at the mob meeting put my neck hairs on end.

There are some people in this world that can’t see the bigger picture. They only focus on the little things. He was able to see how important telling the story was for a multitude of reasons. He was also able to see that him taking this role and doing well would change his career drastically. One could also argue that he might not have been offered the role in Batman if he hadn’t have excepted this role and knocked it out of the park.

I absolutely love the film. The story is beautiful, the feelings were authentic, the characters were believable...you forget the 2 guys were gay....you remember they loved each other. Both actors were superb...Michelle Williams was brilliant...Anne Hathaway's character I did not like as much but I loved her performance during the last photo call. Loved Jack's parent's acting...so real. There was so much emotion throughout the movie. One of the best movies I've ever seen -in the league of Shawshank Redemption.

@@leticiamv i think their point is you are focused on the love and not the fact that they are gay, kind of like when you see a love story about 2 straight people, you dont think about them being straight, its just a story of two people who love eachother.

@leticiamv2 ай бұрын
What are you talking about? No one turns gay, Jack wasn't toxic, they just got together and discovered they loved each other, He didn't accept this because of the way he was raised by his father, there's no villain in this, Ennis didn't really like Alma, he treated her in a very hostile way.

I'm gay and jack was a stereotypical gay man, why straight men hate gay men who try to hit on them. Either freeze to death or take a warm tent with a catch. How is that tent so damn warm while it's freezing outside lol. There's unfortunately a dark side to this movie about someone pure and they use the symbol of a sheep being hunted by a wolf. Ennis says in the beginning of the film that he was a virgin and later on in the film he tells his daughter that he's no angel with wings... because Jack a classic name for the devil made him a sinner. I relate too much to Ennis but unlike him I would never try to act straight only for it to explode in your face, especially with kids. Sometimes I think like he feels maybe he should have just froze to death.

A disappointing, unimpressive interview because of Charlie Rose... he just is not that into it ... he doesnt have any of his own sense of or real familiarity with this film... the interview has no flow bor depth... its awkward and tedious to watch.
@berzerlel Жыл бұрын
I disagree. I think Charlie Rose gives lots of space for Heath to speak and explain things his own way. I find the vibe pretty calm and thoughtful and not tedious at all. Heath usually feels nervous, that is completely understandable. (Many ppl would be in that situation, especially ND ppl). Maybe that is what you are perceiving as awkwardness.

@@berzerlel I think so too - he has a real intensity and deep thought in it. He's missed.
@srldwg Жыл бұрын
@@berzerlelYou hit the nail on the head. This is the first time that I have seen someone write what I thought. Heath very well could have been (and definitely displays traits of ND) Charlie did an amazing job interviewing him. Being ND myself, I can relate and connect to the deep, insightful, emotional, beautifully creative, beautilfully expressed, and thoroughly thoughtful responses Heath gave to the inquiries that Charly Rose presented to him. The statement that "Words are more restrictive" was beautiful and profound. Also, "Enis had never been attracted to men before, and probably not even women. These were 2 SOULS that fell in love" The way that he can see Ang Lee's previous movies and get a strong emotional sense of Ang, is an ability that I believe most people just don't have. His way of seeing the world and his expressions showing the depth in which he sees it, other people, and even his perception of his art is beyond beautiful. (from observing and listening to him in interviews - I mean that is all anyone who has never met him has - Stating the obvious, I know, but the genuine nature of people like Heath comes through more in interviews then others not like him.)
