Always funny to me seeing clips from 1989 and they call Slayer an "older band" even though its been less than 10 years

I remember that too! I had this in high school ((I was class of 1990, what a great decade to grow up in! The drugs, the music, I wouldn't trade my 1980s coming of age for nothing!)), I remember hearing them talk about how some guys found some poser in spandex walking down the street and slashed his throat. Honestly that's pretty fucking awful. LOL. I never had long hair, i ran with the skaters and punks in my high school but thank goodness our school wasn't about warring cliques. The headbangers ((they were also called "hoods" in our circles, and I'm talking about Chattanooga, Tennessee where I grew up! Great town. Great drugs then! But moved to Florida after turning 18..)), anyway the schools headbangers and us skaters and punks hung out together alot for the most part, because why?? Well the weekend parties, skipping school, smoking dope between classes in sneak-a-tokes RIGHT IN THE HALLWAY amidst teachers AND everyone else scurrying to class, .. the drug connections were vast on both sides. .I knew 3 headbangers who were kickass dealers. Legendary dudes from the Nooga!! I'm talking about C. Miller, J. Jett, and S. Netherly,, my other headbanging friends, 3 brothers who ALL sold LSD, weed, pills, cocaine. The Brady brothers, Robert the youngest (RIP...), Matt.the oldest and middle brother Jon Brady. .. Of course we all shared music interests.. the headbangers wound up also liking Black Flag, Misfits, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, 45 Grave, TSOL, Redd Kross, GG Allin, and so on and so on, you get the idea.. The Damned, Flesheaters, The Cramps .. I've always been a DJ as well, so I would play music at these high school parties.. as the 90s got close, before I left for Florida, i also incorporated GOTHIC MUSIC into the mix,.I fell in love with Sisters Of Mercy, Christian Death, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Peter Murphy and of course the other bands associated with him, Bauhaus, Tones On Tail, Love and Rockets, Daniel Ash, David J. ,.... Sex Gang Children and omg, Alien Sex Fiend..(fucking bad ass band!!), Skinny Puppy, Cure, Cult, Jesus And Mary Chain, and holy shit!! So there in 1989 we had THREE MUSIC GENRES our cliques all jammed out to.. Punk, Thrash and Hardcore, Death Metal, Speed Metal, just fucking Metal!! ((Ahhhh! S.O.D. was one of my favorite bands then!! Stormtroopers Of Death and their masterpiece album "Speak English Or Die", and later, Billy Milano's next project M.O.D. "Method Of Destruction", they were ok)) and does anyone, anybody remember what genre slammed into our lives in 1989-1990 as a force to be reckoned with and the genre that actually had a massive effect on the last days of classic 80s metaldom...... yep, I'm talking about fucking GRUNGE... Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains... It took me a little bit to start liking grunge some. But it was never my favorite genre. Oh Mother Love Bone.. some of the grunge bands were pretty good... Then I began branching into alot of INDUSTRIAL MUSIC... and the aggro style industrial was pleasing to any headbangers from the hallowed halls of 1980s... Ministry, Revolting Cocks, KMFDM, Leather Strip, Laibach, 1,000 Homo DJs,, and other neat stuff and obscure groups like... X Mal Deutschland, Digital Poodle, Kode IV, Gruesome Twosome, Clan Of Xymox, Chris & Coaey, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Psychopomps, Psyche, Pigface, of course Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Frontline Assembly, Cat Rapes Dog, This Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance, Severed Heads, Plastic Noise Experience, Stereotaxic Device, Lead.Into Gold, Siouxsie &The Banshees, and ok shit... I'm shutting the fuck up now, apologies peeps.... I'm stoned, and also on a high daily dose of methadone, I take anywhere from 60 to 350 milligrams each day, and i also take the MAOI inhibitor called Deprenyl ((generic is selegiline)) which is a dopamine agonist and also enhances other stimulants especially phenylethylamine, or adderall, wowow...and i take at night either Phenibut or Gabapentin, so,... That explains everything!!
