The New York Times has drifted into behavior that is shocking to me as a reader for the last 20 years. Over the last few months, they've focused on Biden's age in ways that are just not journalistic, but rather present more as propaganda. To have six columns on your front page (online) that all present the same point of view, with no counter opinion pieces, is not acceptable. Now, since the debate, they've posted as many as nine headlines per day on the front page with the same message that he should step down. I've submitted countless comments to columns over the years and know what the parameters are for presenting my point of view and being accepted, but now five out of six of my comments are not accepted, and commenting is shut off within a couple of hours. Theirs is the only comment section I'm seeing where Biden is being condemned and asked to step aside with virtually no opposing point of view presented. This flies in the face of comments on youtube videos for The Bulwark, where viewers are pushing back almost unanimously to the point of view of the pundits, and Pod Save America, and the like, even going so far as to unsubscribe over what they see as anti-Biden stances. Biden campaign pages show mostly strong support with some dissenting opinions that prove all comments are being allowed. NYT is now printing openly biased headlines to their news stories like, "House Rep Becomes the First Democrat to Call for Biden to Step Down," a choice of words which obviously presumes there will be more. Is presuming the job of the journalist? Or is it reporting what happened? If I thought it was just me noticing this sea change in the NYT, I was reassured to see independent journalists calling out the same thing. It is stunning to see the oldest and most respected news source in the nation actively fighting for their own agenda in this way.

Biden's age is like Hillary's emails... its really a nothingburger that the MSM keeps bringing up because they desperately need to smear the Democrat so they appear to have fair coverage while they glance over Trump's many, daily issues. Point is that Biden's policies are what really matters, and he has a great team of people that will keep the U.S. humming. They learn and adapt. Look at the Afghan withdrawal. They didn't anticipate the government to collapse within hours to the Taliban... but they recovered. Within a month, they moved out 500,000 people. It was a huge achievement that the media ignored. Biden accepted that the evacuation wasn't going well and turned it around. Trump never did anything like that.

Never. It’s not in the dna of democrats to act with urgency. They have known all this was coming for years and they have done nothing. Biden refused and still refuses to do anything about SCOTUS. He gave a speech after the SCOTUS ruling on immunity and what did he say he was going to do to help the country? He said nothing. He gave no plan, no strategy, no hope for changing anything.

So well said. What a relief that I am not alone. Biden, a hero of judicious patience, is willing to use a team that we can trust, and he will work to keep our decency intact. I don't want to consider a change of candidate, as I am positive this kind, seasoned intelligence, will help the Republicans recover from this smarmy excuse. And the Media did it. NYT PBS and all. I am disgusted about us, but I do LOVE our beautiful world. May we live to share our good fortune.
