Lastly… education does NOT have a “liberal bias”. What is does have is a “bias towards critical thinking”… towards understanding hard truths that motivate us to want to make the future better than the past …by not repeating past mistakes over and over but instead by thinking of solutions never used before!

A point that Heather makes in her Letters and talks is that we are *not* headed for an all-out civil war like we had in the 1860s. Also, the one interviewer was mistaken in his suggestion that the Gettysburg Address led in to the Civil War, when in fact it took place *during* the war, at its major turning point. I'm sure she would have pointed that out, if she'd had the time. Instead, she's said that we need to address the level of violence, especially gun violence, that's become so widespread in the US on an everyday basis.

She is against agendas other than those spelled out by our founding documents, and to sticking to the facts..... It’s also ironic that the right could-and does-use her description of Trump’s populist agenda nearly word for word to describe the victories of both Obama and Biden. (Trump’s not “my guy,” by the way.) I also find her implication that anyone who doesn’t share her views is not interested in facts and reality quite disturbing.
