What subjects are you looking to photograph at a macro level?

Insects and flower plus what ever. I prefer a manual focus Macro Lens, fx Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 65mm 2.0 or 110mm 2.5 which both are built like tanks. I also use Sony 135mm 11.8 GM and some times Sony 200-600mm 5.6-6.3 G (at 600mm) for macro photography with the Sony A7RIV in APSC mode (26 mega pixels).

Do not hold the breath. This speeds up the hart, increases blood pressure and induces pulse "wiggle". Snipers are taught to empty the lungs and hold that because it slows down the heart and minimizes pulse. It's also part of what seals are taught to help calm a stressful situation.

You can see that effect through the lens, i first noticed it with a heart monitor. Inhaling speeds it up too. I exhale and hold for the least effect.

Nice informative video!👍 I have freshly acquired 2 macro lenses, a 30mm and the Sigma105 you are presenting in this video. I went on a first hike with this gear this weekend and came home absolutely in love with the 105 Sigma! The image quality is beautiful and the focal range is perfect for macro (obvious) but also for landscape photography which is a big plus.

The Sigma is also a fantastic lens to scan film with!! I made my decision to purchase the Sigma 105mm over the Sony 90mm based on the edge sharpness of the Sigma. Every review I read or watched showed that the Sigma was the sharper lens. My experience with the lens for film scanning has been fantastic. It will focus on the film surface perfectly and it makes great scans of both 35mm and 120 film! It also works great for regular macro use as well as standard shooting! The lens replicates color nicely!

How do you blow up your subject (say flower petal) for a wall size piece without losing quality? I have a 100mm Macro lens and struggle with this because I have to crop in tighter because there's so much area surrounding the subject. I was about to trade in my 100 macro.

Use an extension tube with your macro to get closer.

I just want a macro lens made by canon for the RF system, I already have the 100 mm but I want a higher focal length. Is there anything else out there?
@BandH2 жыл бұрын
At the moment, the RF 100mm Macro is the longest focal length with a direct RF mount. One alternative is the Canon TS-E 135mm f/4L Macro Tilt-Shift Lens, BH # CA1354LTS adapted to your RF mount camera with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R, BH # CAMAEFRF. bhpho.to/3cGg7BW bhpho.to/300yC91
